In their own words
Nova
Nova turns video links and uploads into short vertical clips, and can also make narrated shorts from scripts or pasted text. For video, it transcribes the source, scores transcript segments for standalone shareability, selects moments, reframes them while tracking the speaker, and adds word-by-word captions. It accepts YouTube links and uploaded files, including podcasts, stream VODs, and webinars. For text-based shorts, it adds AI narration and captions over looping background footage. The free plan is $0 forever and allows up to 12 clips and 30 source-minutes per month, with 1080p vertical exports and Classic captions. Paid plans start at $15/mo: Starter allows up to 60 clips and 150 source-minutes monthly, Pro adds Premiere and DaVinci Resolve exports, and Premium includes API access and team workspaces. The REST API uses Bearer-key authentication; Nova also describes an MCP server. Transcripts and related text go to OpenAI, while source files, clips, and thumbnails are stored in AWS.
Podsqueeze
Podsqueeze uses AI to turn podcast or video episodes into transcripts, summaries, show notes, and promotional material. Upload audio or video, choose an episode through an RSS link, or use the listed YouTube conversions. Transcripts label speakers and include an SRT subtitle file. Show notes can contain timestamps, bullet points, and mentions, with writing adapted to your voice. Episodes can become blog posts, newsletters, and social posts, while chapter-based clips or audiograms target TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. Audio tools remove silences and filler words and enhance quality. Branded podcast websites and episode pages can include playable chapters, show notes, and an interactive player. The service also lists a transcription API. Starter costs $8.99 a month, with 120 minutes and eight clips or audiograms monthly; Pro is $49 a month, and Agency Lite is $89 a month.
