In their own words
Nuntly
Nuntly is a developer-focused email platform for sending and receiving transactional email, replying to messages, and tracking activity through one REST API. It supports single or bulk sends, scheduled or immediate delivery, and messages with or without templates. For inbound email, it provides custom inboxes, stored messages, thread grouping, attachment access, webhooks, and a Reply API. The REST API covers domains, API keys, webhooks, analytics, sending, receiving, and team members; documented SDKs include TypeScript and Java. Webhooks expose delivery, open, click, bounce, complaint, and inbound-message activity, with retries, replay, filtering, payload inspection, and signature verification. Logs are retained for up to 30 days. Nuntly says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and hosted and processed in Europe by default. Its Free plan requires no card and costs nothing; it allows 3,000 emails monthly, 100 daily, one domain, and one inbox. Starter costs €10 a month and allows up to 10,000 emails monthly. Nuntly is headquartered in Châtillon, France.
Postmark
Postmark delivers and tracks application email as an alternative to SMTP or Sendmail. It separates transactional and broadcast messages into different Message Streams and IP infrastructure. Developers can send through REST API, SMTP, or multi-region SMTP routing, with official libraries for Node.js, Python, Rails, Ruby, PHP, and.NET. Inbound messages can be converted to JSON and sent to a webhook URL. Tracking includes delivery, bounces, spam, opens, and links, with event webhooks. Editable responsive templates cover transactional messages such as password resets, receipts, and invitations. The free Developer plan costs nothing, provides 100 emails per month, permits no overages, and does not expire. Basic starts at $15 a month for 10,000 emails per month; extra emails cost $1.80 per 1,000 and are calculated at the end of the billing cycle. Unused emails do not roll over. Postmark lists API and web access. Its iOS app was sunset in June 2025 and is no longer supported.
