In their own words

Opencast

Opencast is a free, open-source video management system for academic institutions, designed to capture and distribute video at scale. Administrators can schedule recordings and live streams, with classroom recording also possible depending on hardware. Opencast Studio captures video in a browser without requiring an Opencast installation. Configurable workflows can generate captions, add branding and thumbnails, and deliver media at chosen resolutions and bitrates. The integrated editor handles multiple streams, subtitles, and cover thumbnails. Fine-grained permissions control viewing and editing; learning platform integrations can provide single sign-on and video delivery. Opencast uses the Paella Player by default, while the separate Tobira portal can keep videos online during Opencast maintenance. Integrations include Brightspace, Canvas, ILIAS, Moodle, Sakai, Stud.IP, BigBlueButton, Zoom recording, Matomo, WordPress, Whisper, and YouTube. It runs on one Linux server or can scale across distributed Linux servers. Demo instances are available to explore the administrative interface and portal.

Show by Animaker is a web-based video hosting and interactive video platform for engaging viewers and collecting leads, feedback, and responses. Videos can include calls to action, annotation links, forms, quizzes, polls, surveys, and branching paths. The maker lists marketing, sales, training and development, LMS, OTT, online courses, and e-commerce as use cases. Hosted videos can play from 480p to 8K and be embedded in websites, email, and mobile projects. Analytics include engagement graphs, heatmaps, viewership, and regional data. Show documents integrations with Mailchimp and Salesforce and says leads can be sent to CRM tools; an oEmbed endpoint is also provided for embedding videos by URL. The free plan includes 100 email sends and 100 contacts per month, 5GB monthly video bandwidth, basic analytics, and business-hours email support. Starter costs $29 a month, billed annually. Its security policy says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, using AES-256 at rest, and services run on AWS.
