Overview

OpenPartner connects partner activity across clicks, identity, revenue and payouts. SaaS and ecommerce businesses can use it for their programs, and creators can use the optional OpenPartner Network to browse brand offerings and apply. That marketplace can aid discovery, but the platform is not a link shortener, CRM, fraud-detection ML platform or merchant of record; those jobs need other solutions.

Its clear boundary around payment custody is useful: brands pay partners directly through Stripe Connect, and OpenPartner does not hold the money. That keeps the payment relationship with the brand, rather than making OpenPartner the intermediary.

Key features

Attribution: Multi-touch attribution and a 90-day cookie window give programs a defined basis for crediting partner activity. A longer window may suit considered purchases, while teams needing a different model should confirm fit before committing.
Partner operations: A partner portal, automated payouts, and unlimited partners, links and campaigns on the two hosted plans support growing programs without those specific plan caps. The optional Network adds a route for creators to find programs.
Integrations and API: API access is available, with documented Stripe Billing webhooks and CRM event workflows for HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, Copper, Zapier and Make. This gives teams several ways to connect billing and CRM events to partner workflows.
Browser SDK: The @openpartner/sdk ships ESM and CJS bundles, has no runtime dependencies and is about 4 KB gzipped. That compact footprint is useful where teams want browser tracking without adding a large dependency.
Security and compliance: OpenPartner says it uses TLS in transit, encrypts sensitive credentials at rest, supports magic-link authentication and scoped sessions, and keeps an immutable audit trail. Hosted data residency is currently US-based; SOC 2 Type II is planned, and DPA support is available on request.

Self-hosting uses Docker Compose to run Postgres, the API, click router and portal on one machine. The minimum requirements are Docker 24+ and 2GB RAM, a manageable starting point for a small deployment but still an operational responsibility for the customer.

Pricing

OpenPartner offers a free self-hosted core, hosted GMV-based pricing and paid self-hosting with Network access. The 14-day trial gives prospective customers a short evaluation period. The pricing model matters: Revshare has no monthly fee but takes a larger share of GMV, while Flex adds a fixed fee and lowers the GMV share.

Revshare — 3.00 USD per month (billed 3% of GMV, no monthly fee): Includes unlimited partners, links and campaigns, core attribution and payout features, direct Stripe payouts, Network access and standard support. It suits programs that prefer to avoid a fixed monthly commitment, but the 3% GMV charge can become costly as sales grow.
Flex — 491.50 USD per month (billed $49 per month + 1.5% of GMV): Includes unlimited partners, links and campaigns, affiliate and referral attribution tied to revenue, direct Stripe payouts, Network access, standard support and full data export. It is better suited to higher-volume programs that value revenue-linked attribution and export access; its lower variable share comes with a fixed monthly charge.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Dedicated infrastructure, priority support, custom payout flows and SLA-backed uptime make it the fit for organizations that need those operating commitments rather than standard support.
Self-hosted software — free: The open-source core runs on your infrastructure. It avoids a hosted subscription, but you supply and maintain the deployment, meeting the Docker and RAM requirements.
Self-hosted + Network access — 293.00 USD per month (billed $29 per month + 3%): Combines the self-hosted core with marketplace-driven partner discovery. It suits operators who want deployment control without giving up Network access, though it retains a GMV charge and requires self-hosting.

Hosted Revshare and Flex include standard support; Enterprise adds priority support and SLA-backed uptime. Compare the GMV share with expected partner-attributed sales, not just the monthly fee, before choosing between hosted plans.

Platforms

OpenPartner runs on the web and offers API access. It can also be self-hosted through Docker Compose; that option is best for teams able to provision and operate the required server environment.

Who it's for

OpenPartner fits SaaS and ecommerce businesses, other companies running partner programs, and creators looking to monetize brand promotion. It is particularly compelling when direct Stripe payouts, a partner portal and multi-touch attribution are priorities. It is less suitable for teams that need a CRM, link-shortening or machine-learning fraud detection built into the same product, or businesses seeking a merchant of record.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multi-touch attribution, a 90-day cookie window, portal and automated payouts cover core partner-program needs; direct Stripe payments keep OpenPartner out of fund custody; hosted and self-hosted paths offer a meaningful deployment choice.
Cons: Hosted pricing includes a GMV percentage, so costs rise with attributed sales; self-hosting requires a maintained Docker deployment; hosted residency is US-based today, and SOC 2 Type II remains planned.

Alternatives

For a broader category search, browse Affiliate Marketing Software or Affiliate Analytics Software.

Refport is a freemium web and API option; its free plan allows 100 links, 5,000 clicks per month and one seat. Consider it when those caps suit a smaller program.
UpPromote has a free plan for one affiliate program and $3,000 referral review per month, making it an option for a program that fits within those limits.
Sprout Affiliate offers a free plan for one program and up to 200 referral orders per month, with Android, iOS and API platforms. Pick it when those limits and mobile platform availability fit better.
Endorsely is an alternative with a free plan and a Pro plan at 39.00 USD per month, capped at up to $5,000 affiliate revenue and 100 affiliate-finder credits.
Partnero is a paid, API-and-web alternative with a trial; its annual-billed Starter plan is 49.00 USD per month and includes one program and one team member.
PartnerStack is a paid API-and-web alternative with a Launch plan covering affiliate link tracking or lead and deal registration, marketplace access, AI and MCP Connector, and partner payments.
Affberry has a free plan capped at 25 active affiliates, or a Pro plan at 49.00 USD per month for 500 active affiliates and email support; it may suit programs choosing around affiliate-count limits.
Revshare is a freemium API alternative whose Growth plan costs 99.00 USD per month; consider it if that pricing and its partner-program approach fit your requirements.

Verdict

Choose OpenPartner if your SaaS, ecommerce or creator program needs multi-touch attribution, direct Stripe payouts and a choice between hosted operations and self-hosting. The principal reason to look elsewhere is a mismatch with the GMV-based hosted economics or the need for adjacent tools OpenPartner explicitly does not provide.
