In their own words
OpenPrompt
OpenPrompt is a free, open-source framework for building prompt-learning pipelines for downstream natural language processing tasks. It brings methods for prompt templating, verbalizing, and optimization into one framework, while allowing users to devise and test their own methods. It can load pretrained language models from Hugging Face Transformers. A PromptModel combines such a model with one or more templates and verbalizers for training and inference. Documented processors cover text classification, entity typing, relation classification, language inference, and conditional generation. Template options include manual, prefix, P-tuning, PTR, and mixed approaches; verbalizer choices include one-to-one, manual, automatic, knowledgeable, PTR, generation, and soft forms. The project provides scripts for downloading benchmark datasets and installation instructions for pip or its GitHub source. Its listed tested requirements are Python 3.8+ and PyTorch 1.8.1+. OpenPrompt is licensed under Apache-2.0 and supports Linux, macOS, Windows, and self-hosted use. The README cautions that some documentation may no longer reflect major project changes.
Promptotype
Promptotype is a web-based platform for developing and evaluating structured tasks for language models. Its playground lets users build prompt templates, configure models, and work with function calling. Test queries can include expected JSON schemas or values; a model query can fill in an expected result. Users can run prompts against collections, from smaller development sets to larger checks for production readiness. The platform also provides run and test history, scheduled automated tests with email summaries, and automatic fine-tuned model creation from query collections. A JSON Schema Editor supports schemas compatible with the OpenAI API’s json_schema response_format. The free plan is free. Basic costs $6 a month and adds libraries for templates, configurations, and queries, plus collection testing. Professional costs $10 a month and includes 60 days of history, fine-tuning, and one weekly scheduled run. Team features are contact-based. The maker is Baionic, LLC, which lists a New York, New York mailing address.
