In their own words
OpenRecon
OpenRecon reconciles transactions from payment processors and gateways against an internal ledger, then reports mismatches and missing transactions. It first pairs records with shared IDs or references; remaining rows are matched by amount, currency, and a date window. Amounts use Python Decimal rather than floating-point arithmetic. Presets cover Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, Razorpay, Braintree, and Square, with column auto-detection or explicit field mapping. The listed input is two CSV files. OpenRecon provides a command-line interface and Python library, with console summaries and optional JSON or CSV reports. Its command line returns a non-zero status when discrepancies exist, supporting scheduled and CI workflows. The maker says it runs locally without network calls, leaving ledger and processor files on the user's computer. Requirements are Python 3.9 or later and no dependencies beyond the standard library. Many-to-one matching, multi-currency settlement, refund and chargeback handling, and HTML reports are listed as planned improvements. The project is free, has no paid tier or account requirement, and uses the MIT license.
Reconify
Reconify monitors payment flows for missing, late, duplicated, or mismatched outcomes, attaching supporting evidence to findings so teams can investigate outcomes that need attention. Its Startup plan provides bounded continuous reconciliation for one focused financial operation and allows unlimited submitted events and team members. The listed integrations are Stripe, Paddle, Paystack, Flutterwave, FedaPay, and a custom API connection. Email alerts are available, with optional Slack delivery; Slack workflows are limited on Startup. Startup costs $399 a month and includes 30 days of evidence history, guided setup and onboarding, and managed deployment. Enterprise pricing and terms are set by agreement, including its support and options for controls, workflows, retention, integrations, and deployment. Self-hosting is also available by agreement, with operators responsible for securing and maintaining their environment. Reconify describes authenticated encryption for sensitive evidence, provider attempts, and stored integration secrets, along with organization-scoped access and workspace roles. SOC 2 is marked planned, not certified. Platforms listed include API, Linux, macOS, self-hosted, web, and Windows.
