| Deployment | The quick-start requirements are Docker, Docker Compose, and Ollama running locally; the app is opened in a browser at localhost:3000. | v0 deploys projects to Vercel with preview deployments for branches and production deployments for published work. |
| Design systems | The project offers more than 50 brand design systems, including Linear, Stripe, Vercel, and ElevenLabs, or can generate one from a description. | Users can define reusable colors, typography and styles across projects. |
| Integrations | Ollama runs models locally; OpenRouter is the only cloud provider the README says has been tested, while OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini are wired up but untested. | The documentation lists AI models, databases, Snowflake, Shopify, external APIs, Vercel Connect, GitHub, MCP integrations, pre-installed agents and Slack. |
| Security | OpenStitch has no authentication and is intended for local or private-network use; the README warns not to expose ports 3000 or 7001 to the public internet. | The security documentation says generated code is analyzed before execution and runs in isolated environments. |
| What it does | OpenStitch is an open-source, locally runnable AI UI design tool that generates rendered, interactive frontend code from text descriptions, screenshots, or wireframe sketches. | v0 is an AI agent that creates real code, full-stack applications and agents from prompts, then supports immediate deployment or pull requests. |
Plans
In their own words
v0
v0 is an AI agent for creating code, full-stack applications and other agents. Users can prompt it to build or refine projects, then deploy them to production or open a pull request for review. Documented project types include landing pages, dashboards, ecommerce stores, AI apps and full-stack applications. Design Mode provides visual controls and a live preview. In GitHub-connected chats, v0 creates a working branch and commits changes, but does not push directly to main. Previews run in isolated Vercel Sandbox environments that support server-side features such as API routes and databases. Its stated technology includes Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui. Integration topics include GitHub, Vercel, databases, Snowflake, Shopify, external APIs, MCP integrations and Slack. v0 is available on the web, iOS and API. The Free plan costs nothing and includes seven messages per day, Vercel deployment, Design Mode and GitHub sync. Plus is billed at $30/user/month; Business at $100/user/month.
