Overview

Peppar combines guest contact details, preferences, visit and order history, feedback, and NPS in customer profiles. Restaurants can segment by visit frequency, send SMS and email campaigns, and track redemptions in reports. That connection between guest records and campaign results is useful for operators who can collect opt-ins through their own branded ordering flow; it is less compelling for restaurants whose customer activity is concentrated on delivery aggregators.

Guests use a QR code to open a mobile web page, with no app installation required. Peppar says it uses HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and cloud-hosting safeguards, and does not sell personal information. For guest data processed to serve a restaurant, it describes the restaurant as typically the data fiduciary and Peppar as the processor acting on the restaurant’s instructions.

Key features

Profiles and segmentation: Contact details, preferences, and visit or order history give marketing a basis in guest behavior. Visit-frequency segments help distinguish regulars from less-frequent visitors, provided they have opted in through the restaurant’s branded ordering flow.
Campaigns and measurement: SMS and email campaigns can be measured through redemption reports, giving restaurants a way to relate outreach to visits. Campaign access is described as available on Pro on the CRM page, while the pricing page places Marketing Campaigns and messaging providers on Customizable; confirm the applicable plan before budgeting.
Messaging and payments: Messaging connections include MSG91 WhatsApp, WATI, Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, MSG91 SMS, AWS SNS, Twilio SMS, and AWS SES email. Configured guest payment gateways include PayU, Razorpay, Cashfree, PhonePe, and Paytm; ESC/POS printers are also supported.
Aggregator gap: Swiggy and Zomato order sync is not available yet. Restaurants relying on those channels should not expect their orders to feed this CRM automatically.

Pricing

Peppar offers a paid plan from ₹599/mo and a 30-day trial, as well as a free plan described as a limited-time deal. The published Starter price is ₹599/month excluding GST or ₹707/month including GST.

Free: ₹0/month for one outlet, with menu management and QR menu (100 included each), 10 bulk menu imports, and five AI menu import jobs. It is browse-only until published, so it is a constrained starting point rather than a stated route to CRM campaigns.
Starter: ₹599/month excluding GST (₹707/month including GST) for one outlet, ordering, QR menu, reports and export, table and location management, order management, and 10 AI menu import jobs. It is the clearest low-cost fit for a single outlet seeking Peppar’s ordering and management tools, but campaign access is not established for this plan.
Customizable: Custom pricing for bespoke outlet pricing, onboarding, and a tailored feature set. The pricing page assigns Customer Management, Marketing Campaigns, and messaging providers to this plan, making it the relevant option for operators prioritizing the CRM; outlet count and final cost depend on the custom arrangement.

Platforms

The CRM runs on Android and the web. Guests access the ordering page in a mobile browser through a QR code rather than installing an app.

Who it's for

Peppar targets independent restaurants, cafés, cloud kitchens, bars, and chains with 1–10+ outlets across India. It suits operators building a direct, opt-in guest list and willing to confirm campaign entitlements and custom-plan pricing. It is a poor fit where aggregator order history is central to customer marketing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Consent-based profiles connect contact details with visit history and preferences; frequency segmentation and redemption reporting give targeted messaging a practical measurement loop; QR access avoids requiring a guest app.
Cons: Swiggy and Zomato orders do not sync; campaign access appears on Pro in one plan description and Customizable in another; the free plan is limited-time and browse-only until published, while Customizable has custom pricing.

Setup guidance is available by phone or WhatsApp; Peppar lists contact@peppar.in and +91 733-7876270.

Verdict

Peppar is a sensible choice for Indian restaurant operators who want consent-based guest records, visit-frequency segments, and measurable SMS and email outreach tied to direct ordering. Its main advantage is the link between guest history and campaign redemptions; its main reasons to look elsewhere are the missing Swiggy and Zomato sync and the need to confirm which plan unlocks campaigns and at what custom price.
