In their own words
Outplayed
Outplayed is a Windows desktop app for recording and clipping game footage. It captures gaming moments, supports clip editing, and lets users share gaming achievements. Listed capabilities include instant replay, multiple recording modes, GPU encoding, webcam overlay, and watermark-free video. The app supports more than 5,000 games and is made for desktop gaming rather than mobile use. It is available as a free download, but the free tier contains ads. Outplayed Premium is a subscription option that removes ads and unlocks premium features; listed Premium features include unlimited Outplayed.tv hosting, layout customization, enhanced fullscreen mode, and watermark controls for Editor projects. The Core plan includes three months of Outplayed.tv hosting. No prices are listed for these plans. Downloading Outplayed also installs the Overwolf Client. Users do not need to sign in and can opt out of data collection. Overwolf says its performance standards are intended to prevent apps from harming FPS.
Wisp
Wisp is free Windows software for recording game clips from a rolling screen-and-audio buffer. It can buffer continuously or while a game runs, then save the recent footage in under a second after a hotkey press. Pressing the hotkey again while a clip is fresh chains another segment and marks the join. Kill detection uses official local APIs for League of Legends and CS2, with experimental on-screen detection for Valorant and Overwatch 2. Capture uses Windows Graphics Capture, with Desktop Duplication and GDI fallbacks, and hardware encoding on NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel GPUs. System audio and microphone input can be mixed independently, while Discord and similar voice chat can be isolated to another track. An optional voice trigger runs a bundled speech model locally without internet access. The browser shows thumbnails, duration, and file size, and supports playback, search, sorting, renaming, and deletion. Plugins can add themes, overlays, markers, export layers, and actions.
