In their own words

Passbolt

Passbolt is a password management product with secure sharing and business administration controls. It is available through the web, Windows, iOS, Android, browser extensions, an API, and self-hosted installations. The Community Edition is free forever and includes unlimited users and instances. Pro Edition costs $4.90 per month billed annually, with a minimum of 10 users and one instance. Cloud Business costs $5.40 per month billed monthly, with a 10-user minimum; Cloud Sovereign costs $8.00 per month billed annually, also with a 10-user minimum. A 7-day trial is available. Enterprise Edition and Cloud Enterprise have no listed price. Cloud Enterprise includes an isolated container, custom domain and SSL certificate, 24/7 SOC monitoring and incident response, custom backup policies, and 4-hour SLA email and phone support. Passbolt was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Luxembourg. It does not support passkeys, passwordless account login, or a family plan. These distinctions matter when comparing its access options and plan constraints: some paid tiers require a minimum number of users, and some Enterprise details are available only through a custom quote.

Psono

Psono is an open-source password manager for storing credentials and sharing them with a team in encrypted form. It can be self-hosted, with its server and clients available free for on-premises hosting. Vault data is encrypted in the browser before it is stored on a server. Psono describes its cryptography as Curve25519 and Salsa20 via NaCl, with scrypt for password derivation, and says it uses layered transport security including HTTPS with TLS 1.2. Vault tools include password capture and autofill, generation, secure notes, bookmarks, offline access, import and export, and secret history. Teams can group users and shared items, use role-based access, and restrict permissions on shared items. Multifactor options include YubiKey, Duo, TOTP apps, and FIDO WebAuthn passkeys. It supports web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Enterprise Edition adds LDAP, SAML, and OIDC integrations, REST-call audit logging, and policies for two-factor authentication or restricting exports and recovery. The pricing note lists a free plan and paid service from €2.50/user/mo (annual); the Business plan lists €2.50 a month, billed annually, with a 25-user minimum.
