In their own words
Pasteable
Pasteable saves copied text, rich text, HTML, images, files, URLs, and code in a searchable clipboard history. It offers full-text and on-device semantic search, including searches for images by description. Smart collections sort clips into groups such as Photos, Code, Links, Files, and Design; users can also create collections with custom rules. On desktop, ⌘/Ctrl+Shift+V opens a keyboard-driven overlay, and system-wide snippets can expand saved clips. Clip history is stored locally in SQLite, works offline without an account, and is encrypted at rest with an operating-system-sealed key. The maker says synced clips are encrypted on the device and its servers store only ciphertext. The free plan includes unlimited local history and 25 synced clips. Pasteable Pro costs $6 a month or $60 a year; Lifetime costs $80.00 USD one-time. The site lists macOS 11+, Windows 10 and 11, and 64-bit Linux, and says iOS and Android apps are in App Store and Play Store review.
PasteBar
PasteBar is a clipboard manager for saving, organizing, searching, and reusing copied material on macOS and Windows. Its searchable clipboard history is unlimited, and clips can contain text, rich text, images, files, links, and code snippets. Collections, tabs, and boards provide ways to group saved items, while quick-access paste menus make them available for reuse. Users can build clips with customizable form fields and templates for information they enter often. PasteBar can detect and highlight syntax in languages including C, JavaScript, Python, Rust, SQL, and YAML. Its FAQ also describes extracting information from web pages and APIs through web requests and scraping. The maker says history and custom clips remain on the local device, not cloud storage or external servers, and lists lock screen and passcode protection. The homepage calls PasteBar free and open source, with code on GitHub. The Free plan costs nothing and includes unlimited history, clips, boards, and menus; Pro includes unlimited collections and tabs. It supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, plus Windows 10 and 11 on Intel, AMD, and ARM processors.
