In their own words
PdfGen
PdfGen is a cloud platform for generating PDFs from HTML templates, including invoices, reports, certificates, contracts, guides, and proposals. It provides a code editor powered by Monaco, a rich text editor, and live PDF preview. Templates can use plain text, structured object, or tabular variables, and variable definitions can generate data-entry forms. For rendering, users can choose iText for metadata-rich output or Puppeteer/Chromium for web-to-PDF conversion. Its REST API manages templates, variables, and document generation; an MCP server connects with coding agents including Cursor and Claude Desktop. TypeScript and Python client libraries are available. Listed integrations include GitHub template sync, Google Fonts, Stripe, and AI providers Anthropic Claude, OpenRouter, MiniMax, and DeepSeek. Organizations offer Admin and User roles, email invitations, and shared templates, variables, and documents. The site says generation runs in isolated server-side environments, stored content is encrypted at rest, API keys are SHA-256 hashed, and data in transit uses TLS. Plans set monthly document allowances; extra documents use plan-specific credits. Pricing ranges from free to €25 a month.
Zamzar API
Zamzar API is a REST-based HTTP service for adding file conversion to mobile, web, or desktop applications. It supports more than 1,100 conversion types across documents, video, images, audio, eBooks, CAD, 3D, and compressed files. Files can come from a user's machine or be reachable through HTTP, FTP, SFTP, or Amazon S3. Zamzar says its cloud service can handle demand from one file to 10,000. Developers can use official Java, PHP, and Python SDKs, plus code samples for C#, cURL, Node.js, and other languages. The free Test plan costs nothing, requires no card, and includes 100 credits, a 1 MB maximum file size, one-day file storage, and a three-day support response. Paid plans start at $25 /month. Successful conversions use at least one credit, and unused monthly credits do not roll over. Zamzar describes the API as a conversion service, not a CDN; converted files should be retrieved through the API. Accounts include free sandbox testing subject to file-size and job-count limits.
