In their own words

Percy

Percy is a visual testing tool that captures DOM snapshots and assets, renders them, and checks them against earlier snapshots to identify visual changes. It can render pages across browsers and platforms, including desktop and mobile, and compare responsive layouts at configurable widths. Percy groups visual changes while filtering noise and freezes animations and other dynamic elements to reduce false positives. Snapshots from tests running on different processes or machines can be grouped into a single build. Its review workflow includes status updates, notifications, comments, baseline management, branch logic, and approval carryforwards. Percy supports web applications, component libraries, end-to-end testing frameworks, static sites, custom SDK integrations, and native mobile applications. The CLI can capture and upload snapshots without an automation script. A free plan includes 5,000 screenshots per month; paid plans have fixed screenshot allocations, with extra screenshots charged at an overage rate. Desktop costs $199 a month billed annually, and Desktop & Mobile costs $599 a month billed annually.

Screenshotbot

Screenshotbot collects screenshots from existing screenshot tests and reports visual changes without requiring teams to re-record screenshots manually. It accepts outputs from Android, iOS, React Native, Flutter, Selenium, Cypress, PDFs, Kotlin Multiplatform, games, and other image-generating sources. Reports include image comparison tools, screenshot history, and a bisecting tool to help locate regressions. Masks let teams exclude selected image areas, such as timestamps or animations, from comparisons. Integrations update pull request or merge request checks and build statuses for GitHub, GitLab, Phabricator, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps. It works with any CI framework and identifies context for services including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Bitrise, Netlify, and Azure DevOps. Slack notifications and task creation for Jira, Asana, Trello, Pivotal, and Todoist are also listed. Pay-as-You-Go costs $0.01 a month, billed per screenshot, and includes 10,000 free screenshots per month. Platforms include web, API, self-hosting, and desktop and mobile systems.
