In their own words
pgwatch
pgwatch is a free, open-source metrics collector and visualization solution for PostgreSQL databases. A remote daemon periodically connects to databases and reads PostgreSQL statistics using a normal database user, without special database rights or server-side extensions. Grafana presents the metrics and lets users add graphs; optional alerts can go through Mail, Slack, or PagerDuty. Metrics can be extended using pure SQL, and supported storage options include PostgreSQL, Prometheus, JSON File, and RPC. A built-in web interface manages databases and metric definitions and displays logs. pgwatch supports PostgreSQL 14 and newer, including single instances, high-availability clusters, pooled environments using PgBouncer or Pgpool II, and Patroni cluster managers. It is self-hosted, with a one-minute Docker installation described alongside custom installation options. The FAQ says it can be deployed fully on premises. Some operating-system metrics may be unavailable on cloud-managed PostgreSQL services because of platform restrictions.
Site24x7 Database Monitoring
Site24x7 Database Monitoring monitors database health, availability, performance and resource use, with tools to investigate performance degradation across cloud and on-premises environments. Its unified console supports Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MySQL NDB Cluster, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, Amazon RDS for MySQL and PostgreSQL, and Amazon Aurora for MySQL and PostgreSQL. Investigations can use wait-time analysis, query execution insights, slow-query review, profiling and execution plans, along with detection of locks and blocking. Anomaly detection establishes dynamic baselines and sends alerts about performance issues. Reports show trends and outliers, and current and historical resource data supports capacity planning. Monitoring can automate corrective actions and apply configuration rules. Integrations include ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Jira, Slack, Microsoft Teams, webhooks and Zapier. Android and iOS apps and API documentation are listed. A free forever plan covers uptime monitoring of up to 50 resources; database monitors use each plan’s advanced-monitor allowance. Paid plans include Lite at $9 a month, billed annually, Professional at $42 a month, billed annually, and Enterprise starting at $625 a month, billed annually. A 30-day free trial requires no credit card.
