In their own words
PickMeApp
PickMeApp packages applications and their settings from a Windows PC so they can be installed on another PC. PickMeApp Pro manages discovery, installation, upgrades, removal, capture, and transfer; its command-line commands can automate those functions. PickMeApp Installer works with MSI, EXE, and PAD packages as well as proprietary TAP and TAD formats, and can create collections from a list of 20,000 software titles. The software can work offline with local repositories of custom software. Pro supports Windows XP and later and manages 32-bit and 64-bit programs on either 32-bit or 64-bit Windows computers. The maker reports successful capture and transfer of more than 15,000 software products and versions. Relocator moves installed applications between drives on the same computer; some moves need a restart and another run. Transfers to another PC depend on compatibility with its operating system. Free Relocator and Installer plans have no license count or expiration and contain no adware. Light costs $10 a year; Pro costs 30.00 USD once.
Super Grate
Super Grate is a free, open-source Windows utility for backing up and migrating user profiles through a graphical interface to Microsoft's User State Migration Tool (USMT). It supports local use on non-domain PCs and remote operations on computers joined to an Active Directory domain. For remote work, operators can select computers through Active Directory filters for hostname, description, or organizational unit. Profiles can be saved to a backup store and restored to a destination computer, with an option to set a different destination username. The maker says it accounts for files, media, contacts, emails, Windows settings, program data, and internet settings. It can run from a network share with shared backup storage, configuration, and logging, or from an external drive or thumb drive. The quick start guide says to run the downloaded executable; installation is not required. The product lists compatibility from Windows 7 through Windows 11 and is licensed under GPL-3.0. Remote operations rely on WMI, and the remote computer must be online while the operator has administrator access.
