In their own words
Pinnacle Studio
Pinnacle Studio is Windows desktop software for creating and editing movies, with video capture and screen recording through MultiCam Capture Lite. Standard supports HD export, six video and audio tracks, and multicamera editing with up to two cameras. Ultimate supports HD and 4K export, unlimited tracks, and editing with up to six cameras; it also adds video masking, smart object and motion tracking, blend modes, 360° editing, and full color grading. Both editions include audio editing, voiceover recording, royalty-free music and sound effects, DVD authoring, and a slideshow maker. Export options include common video formats and devices, as well as web export to YouTube, Flickr, and Vimeo. A 15-day trial is available, but trial exports carry a watermark; there is no free plan. The software requires 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, at least 4 GB RAM, and 10 GB of disk space. Installation, registration, and updates require an internet connection, and registration is required for use. Blu-ray authoring needs a separately purchased plug-in.
Vizard
Vizard turns long-form videos into short clips for social channels. Its AI finds engaging moments, cuts clips, and reframes subjects for vertical video. The editor includes text-based trimming, timeline editing, aspect-ratio changes, caption translation, brand templates, and link sharing. Vizard says captions can be translated into more than 100 languages. Users can connect TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Facebook Pages for publishing. The free plan costs nothing and includes 60 monthly credits, one social account, uploads up to 60 minutes and 1GB, exports up to 720p and 10 minutes, and three-day storage. Vizard is listed for Android, web, and API, but API access is for paid users and API submissions consume video upload minutes. API documentation lists limits of 600 minutes per video, 10GB, and 4K resolution. Vizard says videos are stored on AWS servers in California with AES-256 encryption, and customer data is not used to train its models.
