In their own words
Pixelcut
Pixelcut is an AI photo and video editor focused on product photography, with tools for background removal, upscaling, image expansion, retouching, product shots, ads, and video. Its web background remover accepts JPG, PNG, and HEIC images up to 50 MB and 6000 × 6000 pixels, and offers free HD downloads without a watermark or sign-up. The editor can upscale images up to 16×, use generative fill for retouching, generate shadows, and batch edit hundreds of files. The background-removal page lists bulk processing for up to 10,000 images in one batch, with ZIP export. The API costs 5 credits per image, shown as $0.05 per image, and accepts PNG or JPEG inputs; outputs include transparent PNG, alpha masks, and ZIP files. Pixelcut is available on Android, iOS, and web, with API access. Its free plan includes limited background removal and upscaling, with exports without a watermark. Pixelcut describes its intended users as sellers, creators, and brands working on product photos, e-commerce catalogs, ads, and social content.
RVM-Web
RVM-Web removes video backgrounds on your computer and exports clips with real alpha transparency. Its video matting offers MobileNetV3 and ResNet50 models, with exports as an MP4 composition, alpha mask, or PNG sequence. For images, it uses rembg/U2Net to create PNGs with full alpha transparency. Image and video upscaling offers 2× and 4× options using Lanczos or Real-ESRGAN; video upscaling keeps the original audio. Image tools include crop, resize, rotate and flip, adjustments, filters, and format conversion. Video tools cover trimming, cropping, resizing, speed changes, compression, GIF export, audio extraction, muting, and reversing. Processing runs locally, with no account or server, according to the project. It supports CUDA acceleration with CPU fallback, though it runs more slowly without a GPU. Install with uv; the app opens in a browser at http://localhost:7860. Transparent output can be used in Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or OBS. RVM-Web is free, with no subscription, watermark, or stated usage cap.
