In their own words

Plane Contractor Management

Plane Contractor Management is part of a payroll and HR platform for hiring and paying domestic and international employees and contractors. The contractor service supports payments in 240+ countries and 70+ local currencies, and companies can automate payments. Contractors receive Plane accounts to submit payment requests and check payment status. The platform offers localized contract templates reviewed by US and local lawyers, while customers may also use their own contracts. It collects W-8 and W-9 forms and prepares and files 1099 forms. Plane says its experts can advise on whether a worker should be hired as an employee or contractor. Employees and contractors can submit expenses for approval and reimbursement. Accounting automation connects with QuickBooks Online to prepare and export journal entries. Developer access includes an open API, CLI, MCP access, and sandbox access on every plan. Contractor pricing is month-to-month, charges only for active contractors, and has no signup or cancellation fees. The HRIS Platform plan costs nothing per person; Contractors costs $39 a month per person.
