In their own words
Pokesensor
Pokesensor is a local hardware-monitoring app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It shows live CPU, GPU, memory, and disk readings, with one-second sensor graphs and an always-on-top mini overlay. Desktop alerts can notify users when readings move outside a configured range, and session logs export to CSV or JSON. The free plan includes live monitoring, the overlay, alerts, and support for all three platforms. Graphs can show a configurable history window up to 24 hours; VIP++ adds 30-day logging, while VIP Super+ includes unlimited logging history. The app runs without cloud services, accounts, telemetry, or sending hardware data. Its default polling interval uses well under 1% CPU, and its install footprint is 18 MB. Monthly plans are VIP at $5.00 USD, VIP+ at $10.00 USD, VIP++ at $20.00 USD, and VIP Super+ at $30.00 USD. Fan control depends on what the motherboard and operating system expose.
Supermicro SuperDoctor 5
Supermicro SuperDoctor 5 is a free monitoring tool for data-center hardware health and system availability. It monitors target nodes in real time, covering fans, temperature, voltage, chassis intrusion, power, disks, RAID, and memory. It also provides 20 types of system information, including BIOS, memory, network, storage, and services. Administrators can use a web interface or command line and receive alerts by email or SNMP traps. SNMP extensions connect with network management systems, and the software is compatible with Nagios plug-ins and supports additional hardware and software monitoring plug-ins. Remote management includes graceful power off or reboot, software updates, and BIOS or BMC updates. It provides REST APIs and exports logs and reports in CSV and HTML. SuperDoctor 5 runs on Linux and Windows, but requires Supermicro servers, 200 MB of free disk space, 64 MB of RAM, and an Ethernet interface. The Standard plan is free, with no license required.
