In their own words

PollsLive

PollsLive is a web and API service for live polls, quizzes and Q&A, showing responses to presenters in real time. People join in a browser through a link, QR code or six-digit PIN, without downloading an app or creating an account. Question formats include multiple choice, quizzes, scales, rankings, Planning Poker, open-ended prompts, Q&A and content slides. Polls can run live or asynchronously, and published polls can be embedded with an iframe or JavaScript widget. Presenters can use it with PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex and Google Meet. Integrations include REST API access, OAuth 2.0, signed webhooks, Slack incoming webhooks and Zapier workflows through Webhooks by Zapier. PollsLive says its application, database and cache use EU infrastructure, with TLS and HSTS for encrypted traffic. The free plan costs nothing, billed with no card required, and includes three published polls, 500 responses per poll, three live participants, three live sessions per month and one presenter. Pro starts at $5 a month, billed monthly.

Simple Poll

Simple Poll lets teams create polls and surveys within Slack channels, direct messages, and group direct messages. Poll formats include ranked choice, recurring check-ins, and surveys with up to 20 questions. Controls can make responses anonymous, limit votes, let voters add options, hide results, or close polls automatically. Survey answers collect in a dashboard with CSV export. The Free plan costs nothing, includes unlimited polls and up to five options per poll, and allows 100 responses per calendar month. After that limit, the workspace cannot add further responses until the next month. Premium costs $49 a month, billed annually at $588/yr per workspace, for 1–24 members; it includes unlimited responses, up to 45 options, surveys, and API access. The API creates and retrieves polls and reads results, but cannot schedule polls; automatic closing and reminders remain supported. Enterprise pricing is custom. Simple Poll says it is GDPR compliant, ISO 27001 certified, and encrypts data in transit and at rest.
