Overview

Power Planner brings schoolwork and academic progress together across devices. Students can enter assignments and exams with due dates, receive automatic reminders, record class times and room locations, and review a weekly schedule. Grade tracking includes GPA calculations across semesters and a “What If?” mode for considering potential outcomes.

Google Calendar can show classes and homework. Connecting it requires read/write calendar permission; Power Planner says it does not store or access information from the Google account. An online account is optional. Local-account data stays on the device, while online accounts store user-added information in an online database and collect basic telemetry through Microsoft Application Insights. User data is stored on Microsoft Azure servers, with database access limited to BareBones Dev and trusted contractors.

Key features

Assignments and exams: Due dates and automatic reminders help students keep upcoming work visible. Recurring study sessions are supported, but revision scheduling is not, so this is not a dedicated revision planner.
Grades and GPA: Grades are tracked by class, with GPA calculated across semesters. “What If?” mode gives students a way to consider possible grade outcomes alongside their coursework.
Class schedules: Weekly views include class times and room locations. Standard and rotating A/B week schedules are supported, but fully custom non-A/B schedules are not; students with more complex rotations should look elsewhere.
Calendar integration: Classes and homework can appear in Google Calendar, useful for students who want school commitments alongside their other calendar entries.
Accounts and support: Keeping data local avoids creating an online account. Support is by email; because one developer maintains the app without dedicated support staff, replies may take several days.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free. It covers one semester, up to five grades per class, one repeating bulk task or event entry, and one photo attachment per item. Those caps make it a reasonable starting point for a limited academic record, but restrictive for students who need multiple semesters or more than five grades in a class.

Premium costs 4.99 USD per month, billed One-time, lifetime purchase. It includes unlimited semesters and more than five grades per class, addressing the free plan’s main academic-record limits. Students who only need a single semester and few grade entries can stay on Free; those tracking progress across semesters have a clearer reason to upgrade.

Platforms

Power Planner supports Android, iOS, Windows 10+, Mac and web browsers. The web version is beta, so students choosing a browser as their primary workspace should account for that. The broad device range suits students who move between phone and computer.

Who it's for

Power Planner is best suited to students who want a central place for class schedules, homework, exams, grades and GPA, especially those who value Google Calendar visibility or want to keep data local without an online account. It is less suitable for students whose schools use complex non-A/B schedules or who need Canvas or Blackboard integration: neither platform is supported.

Con: Free is limited to one semester, five grades per class, one repeating bulk task or event entry, and one photo per item.
Con: Fully custom non-A/B schedules and Canvas or Blackboard integration are not supported.
Con: Email replies may take several days because there is no dedicated support staff.

Verdict

Choose Power Planner if you are a student who wants coursework, a weekly timetable and grade planning together, and its standard or A/B schedule model fits your classes. The optional local account and one-time lifetime Premium purchase are meaningful advantages; students who need custom rotations, Canvas or Blackboard, or a larger free academic record should choose another planner.
