In their own words
PROMT
PROMT offers machine translation software and services for private users, enterprises, translators, developers, and internet projects. PROMT Master NMT translates text and documents such as DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, text PDFs, ODF, XML, and HTML while preserving formatting. Users can revise word and phrase translations, customize proper names, and add sentences to translation memory. PROMT says almost all its solutions work offline, and describes desktop and server products for confidential translation without an internet connection. Neural Translation Server is an on-premise system with neural engines, customization, and scalable deployment. PROMT lists integrations with Microsoft applications, SharePoint, and CAT systems, while Master NMT includes a pop-up translation tool for other applications and browsers. Free PROMT.One apps for iOS and Android provide translation, dictionary, and phrasebook features, and a free online translator is available. Plans include monthly options from PROMT Offline for Mac OS at $36 a month to PROMT Master Multilingual at $300 a month. A Trados Studio plug-in add-on costs $110, paid once.
XTM Cloud
XTM Cloud is a translation management system for linguists, project managers and localization teams. Its standard modules—XTM Workflow, XTM Engine and browser-based XTM Workbench—support document and website translation, translation memory, terminology, glossaries, quality checks and alignment. Teams can use it as SaaS on public or private cloud, or deploy it on-premise. Browser access works on PCs and tablets, with the XTM Mobile app for smartphones and tablets; documented browser systems include Windows, Mac and Linux. XTM Connect supplies CMS and repository connectors, alongside SOAP and REST web-service APIs. The system connects to machine translation engines including Amazon Translate, DeepL, Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, OpenAI GPT and SYSTRAN Pure Neural. XTM lists support for 887 languages and 65 file formats, including XLIFF, JSON, XML, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, Google Docs and HTML. The maker says it meets SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR requirements and does not use customer data to train AI models. Annual plans start at $16,500/yr, and a 30-day trial is offered.
