Overview

Vtiger CRM is a customer relationship platform that brings sales, marketing, and support work together around shared customer data. It is best suited to teams that need cross-functional context alongside sales and automation tools. The trade-off is that its free plan has firm user, record, email, and storage caps, while the feature limits and costs of higher tiers need to be weighed as a team grows.

Built around an open-source core, Vtiger connects with more than 500 apps, including Mailchimp, Microsoft Outlook, Google, QuickBooks, Xero, and Zapier. The company says it complies with GDPR, ISO, and other standards, and offers 24x7 live chat support.

Key features

Shared customer context: Sales, marketing, and support teams use one platform for customer data and interactions. That is a useful advantage when several departments need to coordinate around the same accounts.
Sales tools: A visual pipeline, lead scoring, and sales forecasting support sales work beyond basic contact management.
Automation and email: Marketing automation, email marketing, workflow automation, and email sync cover recurring processes and outreach. Monthly email caps mean teams with heavier campaigns should compare their expected volume with each plan's allowance.
Integrations: Connections to more than 500 apps, with examples such as Outlook, QuickBooks, and Zapier, give teams a broad route to connect existing tools.
Mobile access: Applications for Android and iOS let users access Vtiger on both major mobile platforms.

Vtiger says it has more than 20 years of CRM innovation and is trusted by more than 400,000 businesses worldwide; it also says it has appeared in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation seven times in a row. Those company-reported credentials provide context, but the practical case rests on the shared platform and the limits of the plan a team chooses.

Pricing

Vtiger uses freemium pricing. One Pilot is free forever for up to 10 users and 3,000 records, with 1,000 emails per month and 3 GB of storage. It is a meaningful starting point for a small team with modest data and email needs; those caps can become restrictive as the database or outreach volume expands.

One Growth: $12.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, with 15 users, 100,000 records, and 5,000 emails per month or 500 per user. This is the entry paid tier for teams that have outgrown the free caps but can work within a 15-user ceiling.
One Professional: $30.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, with unlimited users and records plus 20,000 emails per month or 2,000 per user. The higher ceiling suits teams that need room to scale and a larger email allowance.
One Enterprise: $42.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, with unlimited users and records. It is a higher-priced option for teams that need that scale; no email allowance is provided for this tier.
One AI: $50.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, with unlimited users and records. It is the top-priced named plan, though the plan details do not distinguish its included AI capabilities from other tiers.

Vtiger also offers Standard and Single App licenses to optimize subscription costs, and says yearly billing can save up to 34%. Local taxes are added to listed prices. A no-credit-card trial provides access to core features. Existing plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any point, and Booster Packs can raise feature limits without a plan change. The available plan details do not give an individual paid-plan seat minimum or spell out which capabilities separate every tier.

Platforms

Vtiger has mobile applications for Android and iOS. These are the platforms specified for this product.

Who it's for

Vtiger is a strong fit for organizations that want sales, marketing, and support teams to share customer records, and for teams that can benefit from its sales tools, automation, and broad app connections. The free plan can suit a small operation that stays within its limits. Teams with higher email volume, more than 10 users, or a growing record base should budget for a paid tier; organizations seeking only a narrowly scoped support or sales tool may not need the breadth of a combined CRM.

Pros and cons

Pro: A shared platform for sales, marketing, and support can keep customer interactions in one cross-team context.
Pro: The free plan accommodates up to 10 users and includes 3,000 records, 1,000 monthly emails, and 3 GB storage, giving small teams a real starting tier.
Pro: More than 500 app connections and Android and iOS apps support integration and mobile access.
Con: The free tier's record, email, and storage quotas constrain teams with larger databases or regular campaign activity.
Con: Paid prices are per user and billed annually, so team size matters to the subscription cost; local taxes are extra.
Con: The plan details provide clearer limits for some tiers than others, making it harder to compare all feature entitlements before choosing.

Alternatives

Consider 1CRM if you want a freemium CRM with a free trial and support across web, desktop, and mobile platforms; its Startup cloud plan is $13.00 USD per user/month billed annually, capped at three users, 300 accounts, and 750 targets or leads.

Choose Intercom if a shared inbox, ticketing, Messenger, and Fin AI Agent are more central than Vtiger's combined CRM scope; its Essential plan is $19.00 USD per seat/month billed annually, and it has no free plan.

eGain Customer Engagement Hub is another paid customer engagement option, with Android, iOS, API, and web platforms.

Freshdesk may suit teams looking for a support-focused alternative with a free program for one or two agents for six months; its Growth plan is $19.00 USD per month billed annually.

Consider Kustomer as another paid option available on web, mobile, and API platforms; its Ultimate plan uses custom pricing.

Pega CRM is a paid, web-based CRM with a free trial.

Oracle Siebel CRM may fit organizations seeking a paid CRM with web, desktop, mobile, API, or self-hosted platform options; its Siebel CRM Industry Base Option costs $400.00 USD per application user once.

Agentforce Contact Center is a paid contact-center alternative, with listed plans at $125.00 USD and $250.00 USD per month.

Verdict

Choose Vtiger CRM if your teams need shared customer context across sales, marketing, and support, with sales tools, automation, and extensive app connections in one product. Its free tier is substantial enough to start, but capped quotas and per-user annual pricing make growth costs an important part of the decision. Look elsewhere if your needs are narrower or if the published limits do not match the plan comparison your team requires.
