Recovery Toolbox for ZIP
Recovery Toolbox for ZIP scans damaged ZIP and WinZip archives and attempts to extract files and folders that can still be recovered. It supports ZIP and SFX archives, including all versions of ZIP and WinZip archives, and lists CRC error repair, selective saving, and recovery from encrypted or password-protected archives. The product also says it can handle archives larger than 4 GB and archives accessed via LAN. A demo can analyze an archive and show recoverable files before purchase, but saving recovered data to disk requires the full version. Its built-in viewer displays the contents and folder structure of damaged archives for free without a stated use limit. Recovery extracts items as separate files and leaves the original ZIP unchanged. The tool is available for Windows, and browser-based recovery is also offered. The vendor says uploaded files are not shared with third parties and are automatically deleted within 30 days; the online recovery notice also says an uploaded file is automatically deleted after recovery. Personal License costs $25 as a one-time purchase for noncommercial use, Business License is $39 as a one-time purchase, Site License is $49 as a one-time purchase, and Online recovery is $51, paid once per 1 GB of original file size.
