Reflectly vs Rosebud

Reflectly is an AI-driven journal and mood tracker for reflecting on daily thoughts and feelings. It offers personalized prompts and questions based on diary entries, while its mood tracker shows correlations, graphs, and daily, weekly, and monthly overviews. Entries can include photos, and listed features include AI summaries and personalized insights. Reflectly says its approach draws on positive psychology, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy to support self-care. Daily quotes, reminders, a habit tracker, and a home-screen widget provide additional ways to engage with the journal. The app is available on Android and iOS. Its free plan includes free journal features; Reflectly Premium adds unlimited stories in the personal planner, a daily question and reminder, advanced statistics, and actionable insights. A monthly Reflectly Premium plan costs $9.99 a month, and a free trial is offered without a stated length. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The iPhone app requires iOS 16.0 or later, and the iPad app requires iPadOS 16.0 or later.

Rosebud is an AI journaling app for personal growth and self-reflection. It analyzes entries to surface moods, topics, relationships, and patterns, then offers personalized prompts and ways to explore an entry. In the web app, Dig Deeper provides either a follow-up question or three questions to choose from. Long-term memory can recall information from previous entries and is automatically enabled for Rosebud Bloom subscribers. Voice journaling includes speech-to-text transcription and text-to-speech playback. The mobile app adds custom journals, editable daily check-ins, photo attachments, handwritten-journal scanning, AI model selection, and language settings. Rosebud says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and that journal content sent to AI providers is anonymized and discarded after processing. The free plan is available; Rosebud Bloom costs $12.99 a month or $107.99 a year. Weekly AI usage is limited, and Dig Deeper is unavailable at the limit until it resets or the user upgrades. Rosebud says it is not a substitute for professional mental health care or crisis support.
