RemoFirst can employ international workers on a customer’s behalf, removing the need to establish a local entity in each country. Key features

Employment and contractor management

EOR is the main reason to choose RemoFirst: companies can hire internationally without creating local entities. The 185+ country reach and lack of minimum employee counts or contract terms suit businesses testing new markets or hiring selectively. Country requirements can still affect the monthly EOR charge. Contractor management covers onboarding, identity checks, contract generation and management, and expense reimbursement at no cost; automated payments require the paid tier.

AI tools and integrations

RemoFirst describes a Global Recruiter Agent for guidance on compliance, compensation, talent availability, and purchasing power, alongside Task Manager and Payroll Agents. RemoHire, an AI talent-matching product, is marked as coming soon, so it is not a current reason to choose the service. The named integrations give teams connecting HR and payment workflows some useful options, though the list does not establish compatibility with every existing system.

Pricing

RemoFirst uses a freemium model. Contractors Free tier is free and covers management, onboarding, identity checks, contract generation and management, and expense reimbursement. It is a credible starting point for teams that only need to administer contractors; it does not include payment processing.

Premium Contractors costs 25.00 USD per month, billed per person/month, for automated payments in 150+ countries, with no minimum contractor count. This is the relevant tier when paying contractors through the service matters. RemoHealth is an optional health insurance add-on at 55.00 USD per month, billed per person/month, covering medical, dental, and vision.

Employer of Record costs 199.00 USD per month, billed per person/month, and covers 185+ countries with no minimum contract terms or employee count. EOR pricing starts at $199 per employee per month and may vary with local country requirements. There are no setup, onboarding, or termination fees, annual contracts, or minimums. The service is therefore flexible for small or changing teams, but the starting price is only a baseline where local requirements alter the cost.

Platforms

RemoFirst runs on the web. That is a straightforward fit for teams managing international workers through a browser, but no mobile platform is stated.

Who it's for

RemoFirst suits startups and SMBs that need to hire employees abroad without opening local entities, as well as companies seeking contractor administration across multiple countries. Its no-minimum EOR terms also fit organizations hiring only a few people in a market. Large organizations are also within its stated customer base, though teams seeking a mobile app should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: EOR coverage across 185+ countries and contractor management and payments across 150+ countries give internationally distributed teams substantial stated reach.
Pros: No minimum EOR headcount or contract term, plus no setup, onboarding, or termination fees, lowers the commitment for smaller or exploratory hires.
Pros: The free contractor tier includes onboarding, identity checks, contract administration, and expense reimbursement, not just a directory.
Cons: Free contractor management excludes payment processing, which requires Premium Contractors at 25.00 USD per month per person.
Cons: EOR starts at $199 per employee per month and can vary by country, so teams cannot assume one uniform cost across markets.
Cons: Web is the only stated platform, limiting the case for teams that need mobile access.

Alternatives

Employer of Record Software is a useful category overview for readers comparing EOR services. Choose G-P instead if its contractor plan at 39.00 USD per month per contractor, coverage in 190+ countries and 130+ currencies, or Android and iOS support better fits your needs. Borderless AI is worth considering for its free AI Agents for HR and Global Payroll plan at 29.00 USD per month. Choose Plane Contractor Management if its free HRIS Platform, including hiring and onboarding tasks, a worker directory, custom reports, holidays, and time tracking, matches your needs.

Lano Contractor Management is an alternative for teams seeking contractor management from 19.00 EUR per month per contractor and a free trial. Mauve Group is another paid, web-based alternative. Choose Native Teams if its Android and iOS apps or Contractor Pay starting at €19 per employee per month are a better fit. Skuad offers a contractor management plan starting at 19.00 USD per contractor/month and Android and iOS apps. WorkMotion is a paid, web-based option with an API and a free trial; its contractor plan costs 31.00 USD per contractor or freelancer per month.

Verdict

RemoFirst is a strong fit for startups and SMBs that need international employees employed locally without creating entities, especially when no-minimum EOR terms matter. Its country reach and service breadth are compelling, but contractor payment processing is a paid extra and EOR costs can rise with local requirements. Choose it for cross-border EOR flexibility; look elsewhere if mobile access or free contractor payments are priorities.
