WANrockIT
WANrockIT accelerates SAN data transfers across wide area networks for replication, backup, recovery, and movement between data centres, remote locations, and cloud environments. Bridgeworks says its AI engines continuously manage and configure the appliance’s data flow without administrator intervention. The maker claims up to 200X acceleration and use of up to 98% of available bandwidth, while its patented technology is designed to mitigate latency and packet loss. WANrockIT does not touch or manipulate transferred data, according to Bridgeworks, so encrypted data and rich media can be accelerated. WANrockIT Physical supports Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SCSI, and SAS. Physical appliance models 100, 200, 400, and 800 span WAN capacities from 1,000Mb/s to 40,000Mb/s. Deployment guidance covers AWS and ESX. IPsec can protect traffic between nodes but is disabled by default. Pricing is available by contacting sales; a free trial and demonstration are offered.
