In their own words
rotki
rotki is an open-source, self-hosted portfolio manager, accounting, and analytics tool focused on privacy. It runs locally on Linux, macOS, and Windows, with data stored on the user's device in a SQLCipher database encrypted using 256-bit AES. Exchange connections use read-only API keys processed locally, while blockchain access uses RPC endpoints chosen by the user. The dashboard tracks assets, liabilities, exposure percentages, and changes in net worth. rotki turns on-chain activity into readable events and generates profit-and-loss and tax reports. Listed integrations cover numerous chains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Avalanche, Polygon PoS, Arbitrum One, and Base, with early Solana support; the product says it detects and decodes more than 140 DeFi protocols. Premium adds graphs and analytics, advanced staking, higher event limits, decentralized-exchange accounting, and DeFi historical profit-and-loss reporting. It also allows encrypted database backup and synchronization across devices. The Free and Starter plans include up to 1,000 recent events and 10 notes; Starter lists no ETH staking. Supporter is €9 a month, Basic is €25 a month, and Advanced is €45 a month.
Stock Rover
Stock Rover is a browser-based investment research platform covering stocks, ETFs, and funds across major North American exchanges. Its screening tools use financial metrics, ranking, and custom formulas; the platform also provides research reports, historical financial and market data, ratings, and investor warnings. Portfolio analytics cover performance, sector exposure, diversification, and risk, while paid plans add portfolio management with brokerage integration. Stock Rover is designed for individual investors and also offers features for financial professionals. It runs in a browser and requires no software installation. The free plan provides basic research on individual stocks and market monitoring. A 14-day trial requires no credit card and reverts to Free without charge, but trial members cannot export tables to CSV and have limited report access. The platform is for research, not trade execution. Annual plans include Premium at $348 a year, Premium Plus at $588 a year, Ultimate at $948 a year, and Ultimate Pro at $1,788 a year. Stock Rover says brokerage credentials are handled by Yodlee rather than by Stock Rover, and browser-server traffic uses HTTPS encryption.
