In their own words
Saga
Saga is a web platform for developing stories and turning ideas into videos. Its workflow spans plotting, character development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, and publishing. Writers can arrange ideas in mind maps and outlines, explore suggestions for themes, subplots, and characters, then organize scenes, shot types, and locations in a drag-and-drop storyboard. For screen stories, Saga offers customizable templates with 40 beats for films and 25 for TV. The maker lists OpenAI GPT-4o, Google Imagen 4 and Veo, Black Forest Labs FLUX, and Luma among the models powering storyboards and AI previz animations. Users can upload.txt,.fdx, or.fountain scripts; projects export as PDF and scripts as.txt or.fountain. The FAQ says users own their created content and Saga does not use it to retrain AI models. The free plan includes plot development, character archetypes, and act structure. Premium is $19.99 a month and includes full scriptwriting, an AI chatbot, storyboarding, video generation, and 40 Saga credits per month.
SenEDIT
SenEDIT is cloud-based web software for writing screenplays and organizing filmmaking workflows. Writers can choose International (Hollywood) or French templates, then work with fields for location, setting, time, action, character, dialogue, parentheticals, and sound. SenEDIT Basic also includes treatment notes and screenplay statistics. Scene cards come from the first six lines of each scene and can be copied or reordered. Screenplays can be filtered by location, time, setting, character, and sound; scripts written elsewhere can be pasted into the workspace. Users can exchange screenplays with other SenEDIT users and export them as PDFs. The service describes AI help for synopses, stories, scenes, dialogue, and storyboards, in limited form for SenEDIT-A users. Turkish and English are available, while screenplay development is independent of interface language. Basic costs nothing, allowing 10 screenplays and 50 MB total storage.
