Overview

Recruiters can create a job through AI chat, set questions for Tess to ask, and use match scores to prioritize profiles. Tellability does not let those scores accept or reject candidates automatically; recruiters make the final decisions. That keeps the platform’s AI in a supporting role, though teams still need to review the profiles it surfaces.

For resume-led hiring, recruiters can upload PDF or DOCX files in bulk. Tellability scores resumes from 0 to 100 against job requirements, and recruiters can invite selected candidates to chat with Tess. Tess conducts a 15-minute conversation and gives recruiters a two-minute summary. Recruiters cannot see raw transcripts, so the summary is the available view of those exchanges.

Key features

Tess screening: A 15-minute conversation followed by a two-minute summary gives recruiters a consistent screening step without requiring them to read a full transcript. Each candidate screened uses one credit.
Resume scoring and matching: Bulk PDF and DOCX uploads receive job-requirement scores, while match scores help prioritize candidates. These are screening aids, not automatic hiring decisions.
AI-assisted job creation: Recruiters can create roles through AI chat and define candidate questions, helping shape the screening conversation around the role.
Data protections: Tellability says it does not sell personal data or share it with advertisers. Its privacy policy lists encryption in transit and at rest, password hashing, short-lived authentication tokens, input validation, rate limiting and access controls. Users may connect a GitHub account.

Pricing

Tellability has a free plan and paid plans, with a 14-day free trial on all paid plans and no credit card required to start. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over, so unused screening capacity does not carry into the next month.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Free Pilot	Free	50 credits/mo, 3 active job postings, 50 candidate unlocks/month and up to 15 matched candidates	A small team evaluating the workflow or screening at limited volume.
Growth	₹3,999/ month	150 credits/mo, 10 active job postings, 150 candidate unlocks/month, up to 75 matched candidates and priority support	Teams with several open roles that need more screening capacity and faster support.
Enterprise	₹12,999/ month+	Custom credits, unlimited job postings and matched candidates, API access, team seats, SSO & compliance, and a dedicated account manager	Organizations needing custom capacity, team access or enterprise administration.

The free plan’s 15 matched-candidate ceiling is its tightest constraint, even though it includes 50 monthly credits and unlocks. Growth raises that ceiling to 75 and expands postings and credits, but the listed candidate limit remains 75. Enterprise removes the posting and matched-candidate caps and makes credits custom; its price starts at ₹12,999/ month+.

Platforms

Tellability runs on web and offers an API through its Enterprise plan. The product is headquartered in India.

Who it's for

Tellability is aimed at recruiters and hiring teams managing sourcing, resume review and candidate conversations. Candidates can use it free of charge. It is a stronger fit for teams comfortable with recruiter-led decisions and monthly usage allowances than for those seeking uncapped screening on an entry-level plan.

Pros and cons

Pro: Resume scores, match scores and Tess summaries bring several candidate-review steps together while leaving acceptance and rejection to recruiters.
Pro: The free plan provides 50 monthly screening credits, making a limited-volume pilot possible without a paid subscription.
Pro: Enterprise includes API access, team seats, SSO and compliance features, plus a dedicated account manager.
Con: Monthly credits expire at reset rather than rolling over, which can waste capacity when hiring slows.
Con: The Free Pilot allows only 3 active postings and up to 15 matched candidates; Growth still caps matched candidates at 75.
Con: Recruiters receive a short summary rather than access to raw candidate conversation transcripts.

Verdict

Choose Tellability if your recruiting team wants Tess-led candidate conversations, resume scoring and match prioritization without handing hiring decisions to AI. The free plan makes a modest pilot accessible, while Growth suits teams needing more monthly capacity. Look elsewhere if your hiring volume exceeds its matched-candidate caps or you need recruiters to review raw conversation transcripts.
