In their own words
SessionBox
SessionBox One turns browser tabs into separate profiles so users can manage multiple accounts on the same site in one browser window. Profiles can use different proxies, and direct sharing lets someone pass along an active profile without sharing login credentials. Teams can share profiles and proxies through Shared Spaces. Cloud synchronization supports continuing sessions on another device, while a local API connects existing tools such as Selenium and custom solutions. The maker says sensitive profile data is encrypted and decrypted on the user's device using AES-256 and RSA 2048-bit algorithms. Local profiles are stored in browser IndexedDB, synced profile data in the maker's data store, and temporary profiles are not persisted. Extensions connect Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Opera to the client application. SessionBox One is optimized for Windows and macOS; a mobile application is unavailable and not planned. The first installation starts a seven-day trial with all features and no credit card required. Hobby costs $4.99 a month.
Tab Wrangler
Tab Wrangler is a free browser extension that closes tabs after a period of inactivity, with a one-hour default timeout. Closed tabs are kept in Tab Corral, a searchable, sortable list where they can be restored with one click. Some restorations retain browsing history and scroll position, subject to the browser’s limit of the 25 most recently closed tabs. Users can lock tabs or windows and automatically protect tabs from specified sites. Audio-playing and grouped tabs can also be protected as options, while pinned and active tabs are always protected. Settings include a minimum number of open tabs before automatic closing starts, a pause control, keyboard shortcuts, and import or export for saved tabs and settings. The extension is available for Chrome and Firefox. Browser-account sync can carry settings if enabled, but closed tabs are stored locally and are not synced. The developer says the extension sends no user or usage data and has no tracking, analytics, or advertisements. It can read tab titles and URLs, but not page contents. Saved-tab capacity depends on the browser’s storage quota.
