| Privacy | The privacy policy says Sidebery does not engage in ad targeting or data collection, stores data locally by default, and sends data only when sync is enabled and only to the selected provider. | The extension has no ads, behavioral tracking, or analytics telemetry, though its website may load optional Google Analytics after consent. |
| Support | The maker invites users to create a GitHub Discussion or email the developer with questions about the privacy policy; the add-on lists [email protected] as its support email. | Users can get help through the guide, GitHub issues, or the contact form; the site says GitHub issues get the fastest turnaround. |

In their own words
Sidebery
Sidebery is a free Firefox extension for managing tabs and bookmarks in a sidebar. Its panels can display tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history, with tabs shown as a flat list or tree. Users can group tabs under custom names, color and sort them, and automatically unload folded branches or inactive panels. Container features bind containers to panels, reopen URLs in selected containers, and set proxy or User-Agent settings. The extension also supports tab search, session restore, suspension, workspaces, snapshots, and optional cross-device synchronization. Context menus, mouse and keyboard controls, drag-and-drop behavior, and sidebar styles can be customized with variables and CSS. Data is stored locally by default; Firefox Sync or Google Drive can sync selected settings and tab data. The project is MIT-licensed. Firefox does not permit hiding the native horizontal tab bar, and some tab-moving add-ons may conflict.
Tabox
Tabox is a browser extension for saving open tabs and tab groups as named collections, then organizing and reopening them. It is available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Collections can be placed in folders, reordered, color-coded, and displayed in list or grid layouts; saved tab groups retain their names, colors, titles, URLs, and order. Optional Google Drive sync stores collections in a hidden application data folder in the user's Drive. Optional AI actions can group tabs, remove duplicates, rename collections, and arrange folders. When an action runs, relevant titles and URLs are sent to Tabox's API and forwarded to OpenRouter; Tabox says it does not store prompts or responses. Shared folders support collaboration, and collection links let recipients access shared content. Local collections stay on-device by default, and users can export collection and folder data as text files, including backups. The free plan includes core collections, restore, folders, and Google Drive sync. Pro lists AI tools, shared folders, collection links, and an AI assistant, with a 7-day free trial; its price is not shown.
