In their own words
Skyhook
Skyhook is a Kubernetes platform for generating deployment workflows, manifests, and GitOps connections while developers retain their repository and cloud account. It creates GitHub Actions workflows and Kubernetes manifests for services deployed to Kubernetes. Developers can deploy through the CLI, API, or web UI, with preview environments, canary deployments, and auto-scaling. It supports AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI, on-premises environments, and customer-provided Kubernetes clusters. Integrations include GitHub authentication and ArgoCD-based GitOps automation, with Kubernetes addons such as cert-manager and nginx-ingress. Observability capabilities include logs, metrics, traces, and FinOps. The Skyhook Agent can answer questions about services and clusters, assist with deployment troubleshooting, and suggest configurations and practices. Its cluster connector reads Kubernetes resources and service logs, does not access secrets, and only deletes ephemeral namespaces. The Free plan costs nothing and covers up to 3 Git-connected users, 3 services, and 1 cluster.
Wayfinder
Wayfinder is an agentic software development lifecycle platform that runs in a customer's own cloud. Teams can deploy applications to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Kubernetes from a wayfinder.yaml file using wf up. Its agents can generate Cloud Resource Plans, create Stack Definitions from a repository, run AI deployments, and answer users through chat, the CLI, or an IDE. Plans are checked in the customer's cloud account against its policies before catalogue publication. Wayfinder describes per-workload OIDC federation for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud without static cloud keys at runtime, along with hierarchical role-based access, SSO, workspace-scoped tokens, and an exportable audit stream that includes agent actions. Secret storage uses envelope encryption through AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, or local encryption for self-hosted deployments. Integrations include cloud and Kubernetes services, Terraform, OpenTofu, Helm, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini. A free plan provides one production Kubernetes cluster and one seat. Starter costs £399/mo; Professional costs £2,499/mo. Enterprise pricing is custom and has an annual contract. Appvia is identified as the maker.
