In their own words

Slite

Slite is an AI knowledge base for teams, with tools for keeping shared information accurate and verified. Its Knowledge Management Panel surfaces documents that need attention and supports bulk actions; verification helps teams identify relevant information. Slite Agent searches connected tools, detects knowledge drift, drafts document changes, and routes them to a reviewer. Integrations include Google Drive, Slack, Linear, GitHub, Jira, Notion, Airtable, and BigQuery, with Figma and Loom embeds. The Basic plan includes MCP and API access; Slite describes using verified knowledge with tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor. Basic costs $10.00 per user per month billed yearly, and Pro costs $20.00 per user per month billed yearly. Signup starts a 14-day trial of Basic and Pro features without a credit card; a subscription is required afterward, and there is no free plan. Slite says production data is hosted in the EU, protected with TLS in transit, and encrypted at rest. It does not currently offer end-to-end encryption. The company says customer data used for AI features is not used to train external models.

Wiki.js

Wiki.js is a knowledge base for writing and sharing documentation, available as self-hosted software under the AGPL license. It can run in Docker, Kubernetes, or bare-metal environments on Linux, macOS, and Windows. Its editor supports Markdown with live preview, tables, tabsets, diagrams, math, and syntax highlighting for more than 180 languages. Authentication options include OIDC, LDAP, SAML 2.0, and local authentication; permissions can be granted, denied, and inherited across groups and page rules. Edits are attributed, compared, and restorable, and content can synchronize with Git or be pushed to local disk and cloud storage such as S3, Azure, and GCP. In version 3.0 beta, Wiki.js uses Node.js with PostgreSQL, adds real-time collaboration, and exposes user-interface actions as REST endpoints documented with OpenAPI. Stable releases require Node.js 18.x or later and a supported database, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, or SQLite3. The self-hosted plan is free forever.
