In their own words

solidtime

Solidtime is open-source time-tracking software for teams and freelancers, available as a cloud service or self-hosted deployment. A live timer, drag-and-drop calendar, and weekly timesheet record work organized by client, project, task, and tag; projects can also have rates and budgets. Reports can be filtered by those categories and billable status, then shared or exported as PDF, CSV, or Excel. Invoices can be generated from billable time with PDF and structured e-invoice output, tax rates, discounts, and EU reverse-charge. The desktop app detects the active app and document, and pauses the timer when it detects idle time; that activity stays on the device until converted into a time entry. Desktop versions are offered for macOS, Windows 10/11, and Linux. The Professional plan is €8 a month when billed annually, excluding VAT, or €9 a month billed monthly, excluding VAT. The Open Source plan is free and includes self-hosted deployment.

Tick

Tick tracks team time against project and task budgets for project management and billing. Users select a project and task, enter time, add notes, and view budget feedback or reports. In-app timers can track one timer or multiple timers, and timers can be created from completed entries. After time is entered, team members see remaining project and task budgets. Reports can be organized by client or timekeeper. Tick lists integrations with Asana, Trello, Zapier, Metric.ai, QuickBooks Online, and Basecamp, and says it connects to 750+ web apps. Apps include iOS, Android, Apple Watch, Mac, and Chrome, with an API using REST concepts and JSON serialization. A free plan covers one project with unlimited people, clients, tasks, and archived projects. Paid plans cost $19 a month for 10 projects, 49.00 for 30, 79.00 for 60, or 149.00 for unlimited projects. A 30-day trial is listed.
