Spellbook
Spellbook is software for legal teams to review contracts, draft agreements, and keep positions consistent across a deal. Its contract review identifies client risks, drafting errors, and other issues, then proposes redlines and comments in Microsoft Word. For drafting, it can create clauses and documents from scratch or from existing precedents, adapting language to the contract type, jurisdiction, party details, and writing style. Ask provides answers with citations and can search more than 1,000 vetted statutes, regulations, and legal and government databases. Teams can save review instructions as playbooks for reuse. Spellbook lists integrations with iManage, OneDrive, Dropbox, SharePoint, Google Drive, Slack, Microsoft Word, and Google Docs. It supports DOCX, PDF, DOC, TXT, XLSX, and GDOC files, and offers API access. The company states that it is SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR, and EU AI Act compliant. It says customer data is stored and processed in cloud-provider data centers in Canada and the US, and that its agreements with OpenAI and Anthropic provide zero data retention for customer requests and responses. Pricing is on request, with a 7-day trial; there is no free plan.
