In their own words
Squish
Squish automates GUI tests for desktop, web, mobile, and embedded applications using object-based recognition and scripting. It locates interface elements by their properties rather than by image matching or DOM scraping; the product says this helps tests withstand UI changes. Tests can be authored in Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Tcl, or Behaviour-Driven Development. Listed application technologies include Qt, Java, Windows, .NET, web, mobile, and embedded systems; supported targets also include Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, MCUs, and hybrid applications. The Squish AI Assistant suggests script improvements, explains failures, and analyzes Runner and Server logs. Named CI/CD integrations include Jenkins, GitLab, and Bamboo, with Jenkins jobs and Pipeline scripts supported. Squish references ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 and offers a custom Tool Qualification Kit for project and regulatory needs. Floating user-based subscriptions are priced according to concurrent development environments and limit concurrent test executions. Pricing is on request, with a free trial available and no free plan.
testRigor
testRigor uses generative AI to create and run software tests written in plain English. It can generate tests from documented cases, and users can revise or build tests with natural-language instructions. Web testing covers more than 3,000 browser and device combinations across multiple operating systems; the product also supports native and hybrid mobile testing, physical devices through partners, and native desktop testing. Its scope includes API testing and mocking, email and two-factor authentication checks, SMS and phone-call validation, data-driven tests, and downloaded-file checks. Listed integrations include Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, XRay, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, BrowserStack, LambdaTest, and Twilio. The free plan allows unlimited test cases, but tests and results are public and shareable by unique URL. A Private Linux Chrome plan starts at $300 a month, and a 14-day trial is listed. testRigor says it does not test games. Its Trust Center lists GDPR, HIPAA, ISO/IEC 27001, and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance resources; accessing reports requires signing an MNDA.
