Overview

StatusIQ supports public status pages and password-protected pages for internal teams, partners or selected customer groups. Subscribers can follow particular components and receive incident updates by email, SMS or RSS. That combination makes it useful for communicating outages to different audiences without treating every update as a broadcast to everyone.

Teams can schedule maintenance, publish incident updates and provide postmortems using an editor that supports rich text, tables and links. Floating or inline widgets show service health inside a product. Analytics cover page visits, and the service supports iCalendar and RSS.

Key features

Monitoring data can come from any monitoring tool through email and REST APIs. Site24x7 customers get a more direct route: linked monitors can update status-page components automatically when a downtime alert occurs. That reduces the need to relay those alerts manually, while teams using other monitoring tools can still connect their data.

Branding options include logos, favicons, brand colors and custom email sender domains. Paid plans add custom-domain mapping with automatically provisioned SSL. Team alerts can be sent to Slack, Teams, PagerDuty and webhooks. Site24x7 says its services use SSL/TLS, AES-256 encryption and an OWASP-based application security framework, and that its controls and PII processing adhere to ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, ISO/IEC 27018 and GDPR.

Pricing

StatusIQ has a free plan and a 30-day trial for paid plans. Neither starting a free account nor beginning a trial requires a credit card. The published paid tiers are billed monthly.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	1 status page, 10 components, 100 subscribers and email notifications; standard support
Green	9.00 USD per month	1 Green page plus 2 Free/Basic pages, 50 components per page, 250 subscribers per page, SMS notifications and custom-domain mapping; unlimited team members and classic support
Blue	50.00 USD per month	1 Blue page plus 2 Free/Basic pages, 200 components per page, 500 subscribers per page, SAML SSO and custom HTML and CSS; unlimited team members and classic support

Free is a reasonable fit for a small service with one page and modest subscriber needs, but its 10 components, 100 subscribers and email-only notifications impose clear limits. Green is the practical step up for a team that needs SMS, custom-domain mapping or more capacity without giving up unlimited team membership. Blue is for larger pages or organizations that need up to 200 components per page, 500 subscribers per page, SAML SSO or custom HTML and CSS; the price is a substantial increase over Green.

Additional pages require a paid account: an Additional Green page costs 10.00 USD per month, while an Additional Blue page costs 59.00 USD per month. Each paid plan already includes two Free/Basic pages alongside its Green or Blue page. Online payment accepts major credit cards and PayPal, and purchase orders are supported.

Platforms

StatusIQ is available on web, Android and iOS, and offers an API. Mobile apps make page management available on the two major mobile platforms, while the API supports integrations with monitoring tools.

Who it's for

StatusIQ suits service teams that need both public communication and password-protected status pages, with subscriber notifications and maintenance updates in one service. Site24x7 users have a particular reason to consider it because linked monitor downtime can update components automatically. Teams that need only a compact, email-notification page can start free; teams requiring SMS, custom domains or higher per-page capacity will need Green or Blue.

Pros and cons

Pros: Public and password-protected pages serve customers as well as internal or partner audiences.
Pros: Component subscriptions and email, SMS and RSS notifications let subscribers choose what updates they receive.
Pros: Site24x7 monitor alerts can update linked components automatically, reducing manual status-page work for existing users.
Pros: Green and Blue include unlimited team members, avoiding a seat cap as a team grows.
Cons: The free plan is restricted to one page, 10 components, 100 subscribers and email notifications.
Cons: SMS and custom-domain mapping require Green, while SAML SSO and custom HTML and CSS require the much more expensive Blue plan.
Cons: Additional Green and Blue pages are paid add-ons, so teams needing multiple higher-tier pages face separate monthly charges.

Alternatives

Status Page Software is the broader category directory for readers comparing status-page products. Consider AppStatus if its free-plan allowance of monitors, checks, heartbeats, agents, team members and a Kubernetes cluster better matches your monitoring setup. openstatus offers a free Hobby plan with one monitor, one status page, three components and a 10-minute minimum check interval, a narrower free starting point than StatusIQ's 10 components and 100 subscribers.

StatusEntry is another freemium option, with a free plan that includes one user and two services. Instatus may suit teams prioritizing its free Starter allowance of 15 monitors, two-minute checks and five team members. Flashduty Status Page has a free plan for five users and one public status page, which may fit a small collaborative team.

Spectate, UpCanary and Spike.sh are other alternatives to compare.

Verdict

StatusIQ is a strong fit for teams that need public and private status pages, subscriber choice and incident communications, especially if they use Site24x7 monitors. The free plan makes it possible to start with limited capacity, and Green adds useful SMS and domain features at 9.00 USD per month. Look elsewhere if you need several higher-tier pages without add-on costs, or if Blue's 50.00 USD monthly price is difficult to justify for SAML SSO and larger page limits.
