StoryWeaver
StoryWeaver is a free web platform from Pratham Books for reading and creating multilingual children’s stories. Readers can browse material for early and more fluent readers, including stories about math, science, history, and emotional intelligence. Parents, educators, writers, translators, and illustrators can create reading resources: users can write storybooks, choose openly licensed artwork, and publish their work. Translation tools help produce versions in other languages, with transliteration support for 12 languages and dictionary support in over 100. Translation can also be done offline and synced later. Readers can save stories to an Offline Library or download them as web-resolution PDFs, A4 print-ready files, or ePub files. Stories and illustrations use CC BY 4.0; Readalongs and videos use CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. StoryWeaver is free to read, create, translate, download, share, and print. Its released code is MIT-licensed, with a Rails backend and ReactJS frontend.
