Overview

TalentHR brings employee records, time-off management and onboarding together with recruiting, performance management and payroll-related HR administration. The scope extends to file management, benefits, workflows, assets, reports and analytics, surveys, time tracking and document signing. That breadth can consolidate routine people operations, though businesses looking for a narrowly focused HR tool may not need the full set.

Launched in 2023 and brought to market by Epignosis, TalentHR targets small and medium-sized businesses worldwide. The company says setup needs no IT knowledge and typically takes a few hours to two or three business days, depending on company size. That is a practical prospect for a growing business without dedicated IT support, although the stated setup range leaves room for a multi-day rollout.

Key features

Hiring and employee operations

Applicant tracking covers job openings, candidate pipelines, screening questions, CV autofill, AI-generated job descriptions and candidate suitability scoring. These tools support recruiting from role creation through candidate review, alongside employee data, onboarding and offboarding. Benefits management, file handling, workflows and document signing broaden the platform’s usefulness for ongoing administration.

Performance, time and reporting

Performance management, goal setting, time tracking, time-off tools, reports and analytics let teams handle more than personnel records. The combination suits businesses that want employee operations and performance processes in a shared system; teams that only need basic records may find the wider feature set unnecessary.

Mobile access, integrations and support

TalentHR offers Android and iOS apps, and says admins and employees can use them to access core tools. Integrations include Slack, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook Calendar, TalentLMS, Google Workspace, WordPress and Zapier, plus an API. Microsoft Teams is marked as coming soon, so teams that depend on it should not treat it as a current integration.

Every plan includes free, unlimited email support with a one-business-day response guarantee. That is a useful baseline for teams without in-house HR systems support. TalentHR says it uses AWS hosting, AES-256 encryption, SSL/TLS 1.2, firewalls, vulnerability scanning, monitoring and intrusion detection and prevention. Its stated backups include database dumps retained for one year and daily database-host snapshots retained for 30 days. Epignosis says its group complies with GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and the EU-U.S., UK and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks.

Safe voice lets employees report sensitive concerns anonymously to internal or external recipients through a channel designed to comply with whistleblower-protection laws. That can make the platform more suitable for organizations that want a reporting channel alongside regular HR tools.

Pricing

TalentHR uses a freemium model and offers a 14-day trial. The free plan is free, has no time limit and supports up to 10 active users with core HR tools. It is the clearest fit for a small team testing or maintaining core HR workflows, but the active-user cap limits its use as the company grows. Free accounts that go more than 365 days without logging in are permanently deleted after reminder notifications, so this is not a set-and-forget archive.

Essential costs 2.40 USD per month, billed monthly, with a 15-user minimum. Seats can be increased or decreased only in increments of five. It adds asset management, custom fields, Safe voice and unlimited job postings. This plan suits businesses that need those capabilities and can meet the minimum; it is a sharp step up for a team with 11 to 14 active users, which exceeds the free cap but remains below the paid minimum.

Premium costs 4.80 USD per month, billed monthly, also starting at 15 users with seat changes in increments of five. It includes all Essential features, plus performance reviews and public API access. It is the relevant tier for businesses that need those additions; teams that do not need reviews or API access can avoid paying for them by choosing Essential. The listed pricing note also describes paid plans as starting at $2/user/mo (annual), while the plan prices above are monthly-billed amounts.

Platforms

TalentHR supports web, Android, iOS and API access. The mobile apps are intended for both administrators and employees, while API availability provides an integration route for systems beyond the named integrations; public API access is included with Premium.

Who it's for

TalentHR is aimed at small and midsize businesses that want employee records, recruiting, time off, onboarding and related HR work in one cloud service. It is especially suitable for teams of up to 10 active users that can use the free plan, or organizations ready to purchase at least 15 seats and needing the added functions of Essential or Premium. A business that has outgrown the free cap but needs fewer than 15 paid seats is a less comfortable fit.

Pros and cons

Pros: A wide mix of HR, recruiting, performance, time and document tools can bring several people-operations workflows into one service.
Pros: The free tier has no time limit and covers up to 10 active users, making it a viable option for small teams that need core HR tools.
Pros: Unlimited email support with a one-business-day response guarantee is included on every plan.
Cons: Paid plans start at 15 users, leaving teams above the free cap but below that threshold without a matching paid tier.
Cons: Paid seat counts change only in increments of five, limiting fine-grained adjustments as headcount shifts.
Cons: Inactive free accounts are permanently deleted after more than 365 days without a login, following reminder notifications.

Alternatives

HR Software is the broader category directory for comparing other HR products.

Choose Frappe HR if self-hosting is important: it supports self-hosted deployment as well as web and mobile platforms, and its cloud plans start at 5.00 USD per month for one site or 20.00 USD per month for multiple sites.

IceHrm is another freemium HR option with self-hosted and web, Android and iOS platforms; its open-source plan includes employee profiles, attendance, payroll, documents, projects and timesheets, and reports.

Consider Happy HR if recruitment is the priority: it offers free recruitment software and describes a 30-day free trial.

Zoho People is a freemium alternative with a free plan for five users and web, iOS and Android support, which may suit a smaller team.

Runtime HRMS offers a free plan for five employees and a Get Started plan at 350.00 INR per month, billed annually, for 10 employees with payroll and HR management.

WebHR has a free plan for five employees and a yearly plan at 2.00 USD per month for up to 1,000 employees, a different scale of seat coverage.

factoHR offers a free plan for up to 20 employees and a Core plan at 125.00 INR per month, billed yearly, for up to 50 employees.

Cast HR has a forever-free Startup plan for 20 employees and a Basic plan at 2.00 USD per month per employee, with free access for 20 or fewer employees.

Verdict

TalentHR is a strong fit for a small or midsize business that wants broad HR coverage, especially if it can stay on the free plan or comfortably buy at least 15 seats. Its mix of recruiting, employee administration, performance tools and support makes it more capable than a basic records system. Look elsewhere if your team needs a paid plan for fewer than 15 users, wants finer seat adjustments, or needs to retain an inactive free account indefinitely.
