Overview

TalkPilot is a conversation assistant for people who want private prompts while speaking and an organized record of what to do next. It is best suited to individuals and teams that value on-device coaching over a meeting-bot workflow. Its free plan makes occasional use accessible, but frequent users will need to weigh paid-plan limits against its U.S.-only processing and default transcript retention.

Live suggestions are paired with post-conversation notes, summaries, and action items. That combination is useful when a call needs both in-the-moment support and follow-through, while the product’s range—from sales and customer care to interviews and everyday conversations—makes the intended audience broad rather than specialized.

Key features

Coaching and follow-up

TalkPilot listens on the user’s device and offers private suggestions without joining the meeting as another participant. It also supports call transcription, objection detection, next-step extraction, coaching scorecards, and CRM synchronization. These capabilities point to a product that can support both individual conversations and sales or service workflows, though teams should confirm that the specific tools they rely on are covered.

Preparation and compatibility

Google Calendar connectivity can surface upcoming events for preparation. The customer-care page names Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, RingCentral, Five9, Genesys, Aircall, Talkdesk, Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, HubSpot, and ServiceNow as compatible platforms or tools. This breadth is promising for service teams, but compatibility alone does not establish which features work with each connection.

Privacy and security

TalkPilot says it does not record or store audio; users start each session and can stop it at any time. It states that audio, transcripts, and client information are not used to train AI models. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256, but processing takes place in the United States and there is no EU data residency option. Transcript bodies are kept for 365 days by default, with retention configurable by organization. That is a meaningful set of controls, but organizations with EU residency requirements or shorter default transcript lifetimes should look elsewhere or resolve those requirements before adopting it.

TalkPilot provides security and privacy contact by email at alexis@talkpilot.co, and its privacy policy says it aims to respond to general inquiries within five business days.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and allows five conversations per month, up to 30 minutes each, five practice runs per month, and three scenarios. It is a practical way to try the coaching or support occasional calls, but the conversation and practice caps make it a poor fit for regular professional use.

Pro costs 20.00 USD per month, billed monthly. It removes the conversation quota, allowing unlimited conversations up to two hours each, and adds earbud coaching, a teleprompter, document context, and full Deep Dive and practice. This is the clearest individual upgrade for people who need frequent use or those specific coaching tools; the two-hour session ceiling remains relevant for longer conversations.

Teams costs 32.00 USD per year, billed annually, or $40 billed monthly, and requires at least two seats. It adds a shared playbook and knowledge base, scorecards, a team dashboard, and admin, manager, and member roles. The annual and monthly terms are stated differently, so teams should compare the billing option they intend to use; the minimum seat count also means this is not an individual alternative to Pro.

Enterprise is custom pricing for more than 20 users. It is aimed at larger deployments, but the decision will depend on the custom quote rather than a published per-seat price.

Platforms

TalkPilot runs on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows. Its stated device coverage spans mobile and desktop, without a web platform among the supported platforms.

Who it's for

Sales professionals, customer-care staff, contact centers, real-estate workers, interview participants, and people seeking help in everyday conversations are all within TalkPilot’s stated audience. Individuals who need occasional prompts can start with Free; frequent individual users have a reason to consider Pro, while teams that need shared coaching materials, scorecards, and roles should assess Teams. The product is less suitable for organizations that require EU data residency or prefer an assistant that joins meetings as a participant.

Pros and cons

Pros: On-device suggestions avoid adding TalkPilot as a meeting participant, while post-call notes and action items support follow-through.
Pros: The free tier offers both conversations and practice runs, making limited use possible without a subscription.
Pros: Encryption, user-controlled session start and stop, and a stated no-training policy are useful privacy safeguards.
Cons: Free use is capped at five conversations monthly, each no longer than 30 minutes, which limits routine use.
Cons: Processing is U.S.-based with no EU residency option, and transcripts default to 365-day retention.
Cons: Teams requires two seats, while Enterprise is restricted to organizations above 20 users and uses custom pricing.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of products in this category, see AI Sales Call Analysis Software.

ConversationPilot is worth comparing if a free trial or a macOS, Windows, and web option matters more than TalkPilot’s listed mobile support; its free plan allows three calls monthly without live coaching, while its Solo plan costs 39.00 USD per month for full live coaching and individual use.

Jiminny is another option for teams willing to consider a minimum 12-month contract and an Insights Seat at 42.00 USD per month; it supports a wider range of listed platforms, including web, API, and extension.

Colibri.ai may suit someone prioritizing transcription capacity: its free plan includes one user, five hours of transcription per month, and a 40-minute maximum recording length, with web, Windows, macOS, and Linux support.

Rafiki AI is an alternative for buyers considering a paid product with a free trial; its Starter plan is 19.00 USD per month, billed annually, and includes up to three users.

Amotions AI offers a free plan with limited usage that includes live coaching, roleplay, scorecards, transcripts, and two playbook documents or links; consider it if those are the capabilities you want to explore without a free trial.

Avoma is an alternative with web, iOS, and Android support and a Startup plan at 19.00 USD per month, billed annually, for up to 25 paid seats with unlimited free view-only seats.

Mindtickle is an alternative for buyers considering training, virtual roleplays, coaching, and analytics, with price not listed for its Readiness plan.

Gong Forecast is an alternative for organizations considering per-user licenses and a platform fee based on the number of supported users, with a customized proposal.

Verdict

TalkPilot is a sound fit for professionals who want discreet, on-device coaching and structured follow-up, especially if the free limits cover their occasional use or Pro’s features match a frequent individual workflow. Teams can benefit from shared playbooks and scorecards, but should account for the two-seat minimum. Look elsewhere if EU data residency is essential, if 365-day default transcript retention is unacceptable, or if the priority is a meeting-bot workflow.
