In their own words

Tazama

Tazama is an open-source platform for monitoring transactions in real time for fraud and money-laundering typologies. It evaluates current transaction information together with historical participant behavior, applies configurable rules and thresholds, and can block high-risk payments or send alerts for investigation. Rule Studio gives analysts visual rule building, transaction replay, and review before deployment. Connection Studio and DEMS map and ingest message formats, including ISO 20022 payment messages. Investigators manage alerts through triage, assignment, investigation, filing, and closure in a case system that records decisions. BIAR combines detection and case results in a lakehouse with dashboards and calibration notebooks. Studio changes, case actions, triage decisions, and workflow transitions are audited. Docker Compose supports evaluation on one machine; production guides cover on-premises Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, and AKS. The software has no license charge, but hosting, implementation, and support require resources.

Vesta

Vesta provides telecom-focused payment processing and fraud prevention in one platform. It supports card-not-present payments through website checkouts, call centers, and IVR, with credit and debit cards, digital wallets, and other payment methods. Vesta says its AI and machine-learning models make digital transaction fraud decisions in milliseconds. Its acquiring strategy uses multiple acquirers and intelligent routing to support acceptance across countries. Integration options include REST APIs, JavaScript, and Android and iOS SDKs for Enterprise Acquiring, as well as connections to third-party e-commerce, contact center, CRM, IVR, risk, and payment technologies. An admin dashboard shows transaction scores and decision reasons, approval rates, and reports. Vesta says it supports PCI, KYC, and GDPR standards, and offers a hosted payment option that keeps card details out of a business’s systems. It advertises 24/7/365 global operations support. For its growth telecom offering, it says it absorbs residual fraud costs under its guarantee. Pricing is on request.
