Vanna AI
Vanna AI is an open-source, user-aware agent framework that connects language models to databases. Agents can run SQL queries, generate charts, and call custom functionality through tools. Tool Memory records successful interactions and searches earlier queries and tool-use patterns when handling similar questions. Listed language-model options include Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, and Ollama. Database integrations include SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, Snowflake, and BigQuery; memory options include demo in-memory storage, ChromaDB, and Pinecone. Vanna can run through Vanna Cloud or by self-hosting, with FastAPI and Flask server choices. Documentation describes user-specific access controls and tool access groups. Explorer costs $50 a month for 20 questions per day, while Team costs $500 a month for 300. Enterprise pricing is custom, with unlimited questions and listed enterprise features. The security FAQ describes the premium backend as in development/demo stage and lists current limitations.
