Overview

TierMaker is a visual tier-list maker for people who want to rank familiar topics from a ready-made template or publish a list of their own. Its large template library and voting suit public, reusable rankings; one-off lists made from browser-uploaded photos are much less flexible.

Choose it for template-driven lists and a broad mix of web and mobile options. Look elsewhere if a private photo list needs to stay in an account or be shared for others to build on.

Key features

TierMaker says it has millions of templates, and users can make reusable templates for others. Lists support custom tier labels, custom images, public publishing, and voting. A template can hold up to 3,000 images, while each upload is limited to 500 images and 50 MB. JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported. Those limits accommodate image-heavy rankings, although a large collection may need to be uploaded in batches.

Logged-in users can make a single-use list from photos uploaded in a browser and download the result. That list cannot be saved to their profile or shared by URL for others to make, making this workflow a poor choice for ongoing private projects or reusable community lists.

The mobile app adds quick-vote formats, custom list sizing, saved templates, text-to-image, and higher-resolution downloads without the TierMaker logo. TierMaker says all content is moderated and its template guidelines prohibit NSFW content. Its template guide encourages creators to aim for broadly useful templates, suggesting they consider whether at least 100 people would want to use one.

The template guide says accounts can be created with Twitter or Google login and directs users needing help to email support. TierMaker's privacy policy says it collects information users provide, including contact details, credentials, and social-media login data, and may use service providers for hosting, payments, and customer service. It says personal information need not be kept for longer than six months after account termination, except where law requires or permits longer retention.

Pricing

The free TierMaker website plan costs 0.00 USD per free and covers desktop and mobile website use. It gives cost-free access to the core browser-based list workflow, but Pro is required for the listed app and website benefits: ad-free use, higher-quality downloads without the logo, quick voting, custom sizing, saved templates, and text-to-image.

Pro Monthly costs 1.99 USD per month. It suits users who want those extras without a longer commitment. Pro Annual costs 9.99 USD per year and is the lower-cost recurring option for continued use; Pro Lifetime costs 19.99 USD per once for those who prefer a one-time purchase. A free trial is offered. All three Pro options include the same stated features, so the choice is mainly between monthly flexibility, annual billing, and paying once.

Platforms

TierMaker is available on the web, Android, iOS, and macOS. The free website plan covers desktop and mobile website use; the mobile app is available for Android and Apple devices, with its additional features included in Pro.

Who it's for

TierMaker is a strong fit for people who want a deep pool of templates, image-based rankings, public sharing, or voting, especially if they also want mobile app features. It is less suitable for a private photo list that must persist in a profile or be shared for others to recreate.

Pros and cons

Pros: Millions of templates and reusable user-created templates make it practical to start from existing material or publish a template for others.
Pros: A 3,000-image template ceiling and support for four common image formats suit detailed visual rankings.
Pros: Pro spans monthly, annual, and one-time pricing while including the same set of app and website benefits.
Cons: Browser-uploaded photo lists are single-use: they cannot be saved to a profile or shared for others to make their own.
Cons: The free website plan does not include the stated Pro extras, including watermark-free higher-quality downloads and saved templates.
Cons: Individual uploads are capped at 500 images and 50 MB, so especially large collections require multiple uploads.

Alternatives

For more free export capacity without an account, TierListMakerOnline offers unlimited tier lists and exports with no watermark, and runs on Android, iOS, and the web. TierPad is a web and Android option if five AI tier lists per day are a better fit than TierMaker's template-led approach. Choose GOATY for browsing, creating, and sharing tier lists and Breakdowns anonymously or with an account. TheTierMaker is another free web choice, with saving, voting, and live sessions requiring a free account.

TierKing suits users who want image or text lists, PNG export, and shareable workflows without logging in to create or export. TierBuddy offers unlimited lists and items, no ads, and no signup on the web. MyTierMaker is free for personal and non-commercial use without login. Tier Flock offers unlimited templates and rankings with no account, ads, or paywalls. For more options, see Game Tier List Tools.

Verdict

TierMaker is the right pick for people who want a large template library, image-rich public rankings, and voting, with Pro extras across mobile and web. Its main reason to look elsewhere is the limited browser photo workflow: lists made that way cannot be saved to a profile or shared for others to make.
