In their own words

Traccar

Traccar is GPS tracking software for monitoring devices through a self-hosted server or managed hosting. It shows device positions in real time on road maps or satellite imagery, alongside sensor readings and other tracker data. Alerts can flag geofence crossings, harsh driving, fuel drops, and maintenance events. Trip records, charts, summaries, and location history are available for review, with report export to Excel. Traccar works with trackers from manufacturers including Teltonika, Jimi IoT, Ruptela, Queclink, Suntech, and TopFlyTech across more than 200 protocols. Its server runs on Windows or Linux, on owned hardware or in the cloud. Android and iOS apps require a Traccar server; a separate client app can make a smartphone act as a tracker. The API supports service functions and live updates. The server is free and open source for private or commercial use. Managed plans are listed at $9.95 a month for a shared account and $49.95 a month for a dedicated server.

US Fleet Tracking

US Fleet Tracking provides GPS fleet management hardware, software, and telematics for monitoring vehicles, trailers, and equipment. Its web dashboard receives location updates every five or ten seconds and includes live traffic and weather overlays. Fleet managers can set unlimited geofences with entry and exit alerts, replay activity for up to 90 days, and schedule or customize reports on mileage, stops, idling, and driver behavior. Hardware options include hardwired, OBD, driver-behavior, and dashcam devices using 4G/LTE Cat-M1 connectivity. IZONPro has road- and driver-facing cameras with ADAS; IZONBase has a road-facing camera with ADAS. The company says its system supports hours-of-service compliance and electronic logging devices for regulated fleets. A fuel card integration reports vehicle location, fueling time, and transaction amount. The service works on Android, iOS, and web. Its iOS app shows vehicle and asset locations, driver and idle status, and live traffic. The company says it introduced its first web-based GPS tracking product in 2005.
