Overview

Trophy Hub is a free service for playing retro games online and tracking achievements and playtime across gaming platforms. It suits players who want a cross-platform trophy record alongside a retro library; its appeal depends on bringing your own game and system files.

Key features

Cross-platform tracking

Trophies gathers earned achievements from nine gaming ecosystems and sorts them by platform. Filters for completion status, console, and provider, plus sorting by recent achievement, progress, or name, make a large record more manageable. The supported services include RetroAchievements, PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Google Play, and RuneScape. Accounts connect through public IDs, and Trophy Hub says it does not store platform passwords or tokens.

RetroAchievements gets more than a basic sync: the built-in official rcheevos client supports softcore unlocks, point values, rarity, rich presence, and live in-game trackers. That depth will matter most to players who use RetroAchievements, rather than someone seeking only a consolidated console trophy list.

Retro play and library

The emulator supports 33 consoles, with online netplay and RetroAchievements built in. Trophy Hub does not provide games or BIOS/system files, so the emulator is useful only if you supply those yourself. Public multiplayer rooms can be joined or spectated, while private rooms are invitation-only.

Sagas groups games by franchise, letting users follow a series as a continuous journey. The library includes 1 GB of cloud storage, a public read-only profile, and image export for filtered libraries. The storage cap makes this a useful compact catalog, not a large cloud archive.

Privacy and continuity

The feature page says the project uses neither ad networks nor third-party analytics trackers. The service has no uptime guarantee, and third-party platform APIs may change or stop working; users relying on synced records should account for that dependency.

Pricing

Free: 0.00 USD per free. All features are free, with no ads and 1 GB of cloud storage. There is no paid tier or free trial; the main trade-offs are the storage ceiling, the need to provide game files, and the service and API limits. This is a straightforward fit for players who want the full feature set without a subscription and can work within those constraints.

Platforms

Trophy Hub supports Android, iOS, web, and Windows. Its Windows desktop app is available, the Android app is on Google Play, and an iPhone and iPad app is on the App Store. Android, Windows desktop, and web share the same account and backend, making those clients part of one service rather than separate records.

Who it's for

Choose Trophy Hub if you want retro emulation and achievement tracking in one free service, especially if you use RetroAchievements and value franchise-based library organization. It is less suitable if you expect included game or BIOS files, need guaranteed uptime, or want more than 1 GB of cloud storage.

Pros and cons

Pros: All features are free and the homepage says there are no ads, so there is no paid tier gating the core service.
Pros: The 33-console emulator combines online netplay with detailed RetroAchievements support.
Pros: Achievement filters, franchise groupings, public profiles, and library image export give the tracking record several useful ways to organize and share it.
Cons: Users must provide their own games and BIOS/system files.
Cons: Cloud storage is capped at 1 GB, and the free service has no uptime guarantee.
Cons: Third-party platform API changes or outages can affect connected tracking.

Alternatives

Browse Game Achievement Trackers for a wider category comparison. Game Rover is worth considering for its game lists and Scout AI messages, though its free plan caps active games at 200 and limits platform sync to once a month. Choose AchieveAll if communities and a feed matter more; its free plan includes tracking and syncing, with paid cosmetic options. PocketPSN is a focused option for PlayStation Stars collectibles, custom lists, and friend-filtered leaderboards.

Backloggr may suit iOS and macOS users who want library import, game tracking, trophies, and backlog tracking. GameSave is an alternative for Linux or Windows users seeking a core app that stays free, with extra pages unlocked through earned Credits. MetaGamerScore is a web option with free use and paid pledges for more frequent achievement scans or ad removal. Trophy Rooms offers a free iOS and web option with no in-app purchases or subscriptions, but requires an account. TrueAchievements is another web-based choice for game and achievement tracking, with a free account and a paid Pro tier.

Verdict

Trophy Hub is a strong fit for players who want one free home for retro play, cross-platform achievements, and franchise tracking. Its most distinctive advantage is the combination of a multi-console emulator and detailed RetroAchievements support. Look elsewhere if you need included game files, dependable uptime, or room for a larger cloud library.
