In their own words
Tulip
Tulip is a composable frontline operations platform for production workflows, visibility, and operational improvement. Its no-code tools let teams build guided workflows, management terminals, and dashboards using a common data model. Real-time analytics and automations connect actions across machines, apps, and enterprise systems. AI agents can use operational data to surface issues, draft changes, and act within team-defined guardrails. Manufacturing use cases include digital work instructions, production tracking, OEE dashboards, quality inspection, traceability, and electronic batch records. Tulip connects with ERP, PLM, and other business systems through HTTP and SQL connectors, an API, and an on-premise Connector Host; machine connections use Node-RED, MQTT, and OPC UA. It supports more than 700 devices. The SaaS product has no free plan or perpetual license. Essentials costs $100 a month, billed annually per interface, with a 10-interface minimum; Professional costs $250 a month on the same basis and minimum.
Vorne XL
Vorne XL is a bolt-on device that provides automated manufacturing data to operators, engineers, and managers. Setup uses one or two sensor inputs and a network connection, without software installation or PLC code changes. The device is designed to connect with PLC, MES, ERP, and reporting systems through its REST-based API or third-party integration partners. The API is available on devices running software version 2.0 or later, and Vorne recommends an experienced developer for API integration. XL Display Viewer can show live information from multiple networked devices on a desktop, monitor, or television without programming. Listed models cost $4,490 as a one-time purchase for XL810-1, $4,690, paid once for XL HD+, and $4,990, paid once for XL Touch. Vorne says there are no recurring costs.
