Vector Yard Management
Vector Yard Management is a yard management system for coordinating activity between shippers and carriers at high-volume distribution centers. It is designed to automate manual work, improve trailer utilization, and reduce trailer dwell and truck turn times. Real-time maps can show dwell, turn times, and spotter productivity at one or multiple sites. The system connects with gate hardware, kiosks, and cameras for driver check-ins and check-outs; drivers can check in through PreCheck, SMS, or an app, and use messaging with real-time language translation. Yard tools cover dock and parking status, trailer assignments and pool monitoring, yard moves, and digital audits of trailer inventory, status, temperature, and fuel. Vector says trailer tracking uses workflow actions and spotter tablets, not GPS or RFID tags. Integrations span WMS, TMS, ERP, telematics, ELD, and driver-app providers through API, EDI, or email. The service runs on Android, iOS, and web, with API access. Pricing is on request.
