Visa DPS Forward vs VisaNet Connect – Issuing

Visa DPS Forward is a digital issuer processing service with APIs designed for digital banking platforms. Listed payment capabilities include instant digital issuance, tokenization and wallet provisioning, with ISO 20022 and RESTful APIs. Card program management covers digital and physical cards, lifecycle APIs and on-behalf-of card order management; PCI data masking is also listed. Clients can control real-time authorization decisions, with stand-in processing available. The service is cloud-compatible, needs no client-hosted hardware and is designed to interact with digital cores. Visa says ISO 20022 transaction messages travel through a JSON-based REST API and that network traffic can use a single connection. Listed eligible users include issuer banks, independent developers and issuer banks for small business. Regional availability areas are North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, CEMEA and LAC.
