In their own words
VRL Cam
VRL Cam turns an iPhone or iPad into a tracked virtual-production camera, placing a VRM avatar in its viewfinder. ARKit world tracking supports avatar placement, while LiDAR depth can help place avatars and hide them behind real objects. Users can import VRM models, use face tracking, receive bone and blendshape data, and play VRMA animations.
The app sends six-degree-of-freedom camera motion and lens data over VMC/OSC and FreeD in parallel. It can send its AR feed through NDI and display NDI sources as overlays. Live streaming supports SRT; SRTLA can bond Wi-Fi and cellular but requires an SRTLA server. The app can record composited takes with audio to Photos and output through HDMI to a TV or capture card. It requires iOS or iPadOS 26 or later and an ARKit-capable iPhone or iPad; face tracking requires TrueDepth. The free app includes every feature for personal, non-commercial use and qualifying individual creators. VRL Link costs $4.99 a month; Pro costs $49.99 a year.
vTuber Kit
vTuber Kit is a free desktop program for creating and streaming with a customizable 2D vTuber character. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is presented as a way for people starting vTubing to try a character without paying for a commissioned model and rig. Users can combine hair, clothes, colors, and accessories; version 0.2.2 added .owo model import and export and custom-item imports with anti-aliasing. OpenSeeFace provides camera facial tracking, and the program uses microphone input. Webcam face tracking works only on Windows. The maker identifies Windows as the intended and tested build, while macOS and Linux builds are untested and may not work fully. Twitch integrations include channel point redeems, chat interactions, subscriptions, bits, and Power-ups. For OBS capture, the guide calls for a Game Capture source with transparency enabled. The program requests Twitch permission to read chat, channel point redeem information, and bit donation information, and users can revoke access in Twitch settings. The guide is marked as a work in progress.
